Even if I wanted to crunch the numbers on yesterdays game, which you’re correct mine didn’t include, he finishes the season with a 14-15% drop rate which is horrific.

The amount of posters that accept this as satisfactory is nauseating.

How many did they have last year?

Kinda crazy to think how much money Boutte lost mostly because of him half-assing it.

Hell, from the snap it’s brutal. Last night, for example, 3rd and 5, he had Boutte in the slot for a slant that should have been thrown immediately for an easy completion and first down. Instead, he didn’t throw “on time”, the DT tipped it and defender also made up ground to contest the catch, incomplete. These are the things that hinder him and this offense, his struggles with pre snap reads.

Can't believe we had games where he only got 1-3 targets.

I agree. Why would a player who is as talented as everyone says, not figure more prominently into the game plan? Maybe Les Miles 2.0?

Maybe he IS in the gameplan but JD5 is trigger shy and way more comfortable dumping it to Taylor when he is not taking off.

Please stop. He went out and played, of course he was frustrated early on due to JD5 not throwing the ball when the receivers expected him to. Nabets comment about Nuss giving them a chance is very telling. Lots of JD5 supporters keep pushing blame to everyone except him. Look, he did very well and led this team to the SECCG. Could that have happened with Nuss, we'll never know. Our best 3 game stretch was UF, Ole Miss, and Bama. We looked slightly worse than mediocre before AND after that stretch.

The truth of the matter is that in a down SEC year, the only good team we beat was Bama. We gave Ole Miss their 1st loss but more came shortly after. TAMU and Tenn embarrassed us.

That said, we had a better than expected season. The fan base was split between JD5's value and if Nuss should've been given more opportunity. I think Nuss is simply less experienced and tends to make throws he sometimes shouldn't. That only changes with more experience. JD5 can play better bcuz he can pass better than he has shown. Look at his Az. St.film. I just don't know why he is gun shy.

All in all, we had a positive season.

Zero. If you know it, then the NFL GMs know it.

I’ve been very high on Boutte, and I think he goes about tenth overall. I used to think he would go higher, but he lacking the combativeness on competitive throws. I can’t recall Boutte taking the ball in a 50/50 case. Nabers, on the other hand, has done it a half dozen times this year.

But Boutte’s ability to separate using speed, strength and quickness is elite.
