Did Provens transfer from LSU or do you mean Pooka?

I agree. Things were not all right upstairs while he was here.

I watched a little bit of the press conference and it was rough/awkward.

At one point he said “you’ll get my best effort”

I think that was les speak, but it didn’t exactly build confidence

The hate for Miles is insane.

It’s like y’all don’t even recognize how he turned okie st around.. they were not a winning program either.

The thing is Miles isn’t even expected to win a whole bunch. There is no pressure. He just has to get a few more wins. Let them be excited. He’s in a win win situation. Even if he loses then it was expected and if he wins then it’s awesome.

I do agree that his press conference was incredibly hard to watch. Jeff Long seems like a really fun guy though.

I always thought Miles lost his creativity and "want to win" after his momma died. He just wasn't the same.

I didn't watch the presser, nor did I ever listen to his podcasts, but I did watch the video of him trying to find college football fans in NYC and he was funny and charismatic on the fly.

I wish him well. Took forever to get Billy Cannon a statue - Les' is gonna take awhile too, I suppose. But he deserves one - with a button you can push to hear some of his best quotes. Or maybe just: Have a great day!

We all still say that to one another in my family when parting ways

What is the over under on Miles, I have 2.5.

He won't make a full 3 years.

Hopefully Miles will have the only real defense in the Big 12. It’s amazing how soft that league is.

He pretty much said that teams are built to stop the run that’s why they all throw it. He’s gonna build his team to run the ball and control clock.

Same ole Les

I did notice in the presser that his words didn’t flow like normal. He would stop mid sentence then start another. Came across as very nervous

man, I know this is just your opinion and all but Les knows football. the public speaking part of the job is just not important and should not be a factor and judging his competence. Kansas is limited by the lack of top talent in numbers but Les does know how to recruit and should improve that program. imo, the key is his choice of asst. coaches. he also will get talent from Louisiana (not top talent but the state produces a lot of very good talent even if they aren't SEC quality).

Sadly it is not the "onset". Very likely CTE from his playing days.

I just watched most of it, there was one kinda awkward pause but I think he got himself too far into an answer that he didnt really know when talking about Kansas.

Other than that I think he did fine.

I also think that if KU tries to out offense anyone they are stupid..they will never compete in the Big 12 by trying to out offense Oklahoma, OSU, WVU, Texas etc, etc. They just will not have the level of athlete needed.

He will need to power up and defense up. Think Mississippi State. If he can do that he can be successful in the 12.

So you believe that an offensive lineman with very limited years playing VERY LIKELY has CTE.

Ehh. 90% of that was typical Les Miles talk and I think the other 10% was a combination of nerves and being a little emotional that he’s back in coaching. That first question he had the significant pause on you could tell he was trying not to get upset. I don’t think it’s anything other than that. Some of the questions they were asking probably hit close to home with him and were most likely in regards to the things he’s missed the most about being a head coach. Les wasn’t the best football coach but he’s one hell of a guy and he obviously loves being a part of a football program. I think it was more emotion and nerves than anything. He even said after one of those pauses he was trying not to get emotional.
