How important has Kristian Fulton been to #LSU's defense?

Leads team in:
- Forced incompletions (8, 2nd most in SEC)
- Opponent completion % (34.4, 4th among SEC CBs)

On go routes thrown his way, teams are 0-for-11.

In 4 games vs. Power 5 Opponents

3-for-16, 58 yards, 0 TDs, 42.1 NFL passer rating against

Greedy is a shutdown corner, which usually means the other guy will get picked on. These stats are great considering that.

Cause when he does get beat he interferes with the WR

He's getting better though

I will say his interference Saturday saved a touchdown

Yep

He needs to turn around and look for the ball. He can get pointers from Greedy, who is fantastic at it.

My question: who the hell is giving up all the damn passing yards?

Battle?
Vincent?
Alexander?
The LBs?
Holes in the coverages?

Could it be Delpit between his game changing plays? (This is a legit question)

Passing yards are mostly coming from short passes and missed tackles.

Fulton has been a lot better than most have been giving him credit for. On the flip side, Greedy has been a little worse than people have been giving him credit for - and that's not a slight to Greedy, Fulton really has just played that well (especially recently).

In terms of corners losing 1 on 1s, it's very clearly Joseph, he is by far the worst graded corner on the team and it's not even remotely close. I feel like he's definitely a safety in the future. Joseph barely played against UF probably because he's been struggling all season long.

I don’t think he has the quick twitch hips to play corner.

That being said, Greedy has also gotten a little sloppy in his technique this year.

Joseph just hasn’t been turning his head and has lost some jump balls . Alexander has been constantly burnt , Battle has been constantly burnt , and Kary Vincent is finally starting to put it all together .

Delpit yes, but Fulton has a long way to go before that.

Good thing he has a year and a half to play. He continues to put up those numbers he’ll go in the 1st.

Corners are a premium position
