Why not? I don't understand why an organization that works for the public (the police) should have an option not to release footage.

They’ve already said the footage would be released. They are currently conducting an internal affairs investigation.

I was wrong to have the expired inspection sticker and not have my insurance printed out obviously. That doesn’t give the officer the right to be aggressive for a minor traffic violation. I mean, his own boss admitted he was in the wrong. And I’m white. Interestingly, I’m 98% sure the officer’s boss was black based off his accent on the phone.

This is an example of what cops have to deal with. This dumb arse is driving around with expired tags and no proof of insurance yet files a complaint because his feelings were hurt. If he had half a brain he might realize the cop was maybe pissed because he was driving around a newborn while not being responsible enough to have his vehicle up to code. This dumb arse shows he is an even bigger dumb arse by believing anything would ever happen to the officer. Unfortunately this dumb arse now has a kid and probably will never teach his kid to take personal responsibility because he evidently isnt man enough to suck it up when he is in the wrong.

. There were rumors that some saw the video and Moore is not painted in a good light at all. BTW - an officer does t have to listen to you whine about being patted down.

If a case is still under investigation they can hold back on making it public. Makes perfect sense when done correctly but can be used as a tool to keep, the public in the dark like the state police are with releasing the body cam footage of the guy they beat to death. They can kick the still under investigation can down the road as long as they like.

sure he does, whats he going to do put his fingers in his ears or stuff a dirty sock in your mouth? He may not have to stop but he certainly has to hear it.

Sounds like you have way more encounters with cops than the average person. Why is that?

Source? The only comments I’ve seen about the video came from Moore’s attorney and the police union. Those comments were contradictory, which isn’t surprising considering the two parties have opposing agendas. Who else has said anything about what the video shows?

They do, however, have to be respectful of your rights under the 4th Amendment.

1. Was Koy Moore arrested?

2. Are you suggesting that 4th Amendment rights don’t matter if there’s an arrest? I’m not sure you’re making the point that you think you’re making.

Some of y’all have apparently never been bullied by BRPD. If I had the platform this kid has and I felt I had been mistreated, I’d shine a light on it, too.

I've never been bullied by BRPD or any police department, in any parish, throughout the entire State of Louisiana. Furthermore, throughout high school and college, my LEO encounters while driving in St Tammany, Tangipahoa, Livingston, and EBR were 5x more than any of my friends. At that age, i drove a little fast and had very little patience. But what I did have was good manners and rarely was i even given a citation. The best time to showoff those good manners is when the blue lights come on. To this day, I am always respectful and polite - and that shite goes a long way. So, I dont buy the the argument that cops are bullies.

No recourse?? I dont buy that one either. We all are entitled to a fair and speedy trial. This is what the courts are for - to handle your recourse issue. A fair and speedy trial doesn't take place on the side of the road by arguing or fighting with the cop. It sounds like you may have been looking for recourse without due process. You skipped the most important part - the courts!

Well that’s not always the case. Attorneys in other cases claim the same thing and it’s clear as day the cops were right in the situation. Don’t know much about this situation, though. If it played out like the players said, the officers should be held accountable!

Well consider yourself lucky, as you've mentioned that you drove a little fast when you were young and had very little patience.

Phillando Castille did EVERYTHING right when pulled over, displayed good manners towards the officer, alerted the officer that he had a conceal/carry permit for his weapon. Yet the officer panicked and killed him on just a routine stop.

So, I dont buy the the argument that cops are bullies.

If you don't think that SOME cops aren't bullies then you need to take your head out of your arse. There's good and bad in EVERY profession and to say you don't buy that is insane.

My encounter with a BRPD Officer on 1/22/2020, At 1103pm I arrived from my Texas home to my Baton Rouge home, I take Hwy 190, as I cross the Old Mississippi River Bridge I notice the BRPD unit on the right shoulder, hey, no problem right, as I wasn't breaking any traffic laws. As I passed this officer he gets behind my vehicle. He didn't turn his blue lights on or anything, he just trailed me all the way down Airline Hwy.

Through all the stops for the redlights, he never turned his blue lights on me. Once I got to the overpass right before my turn on Coursey, that's when he turned his lights on for me to pull over. Now to say we went through at least 9 redlights and I had not violated ANY traffic laws, I was pissed that he pulled me over. I stopped and asked the officer, "why did you pull me over when I haven't violated in traffic laws". His answer to me was because I was driving suspiciously because I was driving 5 MPH UNDER the speed limit on Airline hwy.

So that was suspicious to him. Not only that, he called for backup as 3 other patrol units arrived. He checked my driver's license, insurance, and registration and while doing so was a total fricking a-hole. While the other officers were very professional, cordial and pleasant. So moral of the story, it only takes ONE a-hole for someone to lose their life over something so damn simple.
