Attorney was able to view the footage and has since asked BRPD to make it public. Usually when that happens, pretty clear they are at fault.

They need to settle this quietly to not stir up the public any more and cause inrest.

That is not what that means. It could mean the attorney is stupid and doesn't know his head from his arse. It could also mean the attorney misinterpreted the actions of the cops and thinks there is something to see when there's not. It could also mean the cops did something really stupid and deserve to be reprimanded (or worse).

At least there was body cam footage available so there is an impartial witness to the events.

It's obvious now at this point brpd is at fault.

Sucks this happened to Koy

Koy should face some sort of discipline for being with a rival teammate during a pandemic that's stupid as frick and is exhibit A of why the game is cancelled to begin with because LSU players are exorcising stupid decisions.

I wish our players were exorcising stupid decisions. Unfortunately it appears the stupid decisions are still very much a part of them.

"At fault" for what? Moore wasn't arrested. From my understanding he wasn't physically harmed. I supposed the civil argument COULD be that it was an unlawful search of Moore's person, but that would be a pretty onerous burden to prove. There is discussion of a potential civil suit, but I just don't see very much, if any big compensable damages.

Now, that's not to say the officers did or did not act appropriately. I was not there and what is "appropriate" is wholly subjective. However, this appears to be nothing more than rabble-rousing at a time when doing do is en vouge. If they cops acted inappropriately, then that should be handled administratively via suspensions and/or terminations, if warranted.

Better be careful what they ask for. It may not show what he’s hoping

Any competent attorney would want body cam footage. It would be borderline malpractice if an attorney didn’t want video of an incident. Attorneys don’t create facts. They deal with them.

Eh, that tactic doesn’t usually mean anything. It’s bsckfired plenty of times. That kid in OK who shot two cops, killing one, had his attorney go this route. The body cam footage showed his client was guilty AF

If his attorney is confident the footage shows Koy didn’t do anything, then why does he feel the need to publicize it in the media? To sway public opinion before a lawsuit? Koy wasn’t hurt or arrested. Let it be or deal with it in court

I’m sure an 18 year old kid has his own lawyer on speed dial because that’s totally normal.....

How? Don't you think Koa deserves representation?

I don't know what happened and neither does anyone else at this time. On the other hand, would this surprise anyone?

Deserves? In a civil lawsuit? No. He only deserves a lawyer if he was charged with a crime, which he wasn’t. His lawyer is guaranteed taking his case pro bono for the attention and possible payday, not to help Koy
