I don’t care that Koki picked UNC. Outside of that, he’s awful when it comes to asking good questions and knowing baseball.

Beat reporting is stuck in the past. They think knowing AP style and having a journalism major is more important than being invested in a team and having genuine curiosity about the sport.

Go back and re-read what I wrote, slower if you need.
Saying that he's making his own evaluation and not relying on the Vegas odds doesn't say anything about the extent of his knowledge. It literally means he's making his own evaluation and not relying on the Vegas odds.

No she didn't. She never gave out any info that wasn't known by others. In fact, when fans asked her during one of the series if one of the players was injured or suspended, she said, "how am I supposed to know, Jay didn't say anything before the game."

I have to say Koki really seemed to enjoy the SEC tournament, his X updates showed his excitement
I’d rather have someone that enjoys what they do & is objective any day over someone that prepares for an article about Crews being from Florida & walking it off in his home state against the Gators

I followed her twitter all last season. She was constantly giving us updates as to who was traveling with team, who was injured and their status. Jay plays that close to the vest so sometimes the info was limited. But Koki just retweets other people and puts out less information than she did. I do not intend to defend her. I was happy when she left and Koki took over. I really thought he'd be better than he is. Hopefully, he will grow into it.

Koki did take at least one weekend off in the middle of the season that no one here seemed to notice or care about. But there was a lot of melting when Leah Vann took a trip last year.

Dude he doesn’t know shite. He’s just guessing. Not making an informed opinion. But that’s the whole point. If that’s the case why in the world would you not take the team you’re covering. If you want a contrarian as you # 1 number beat reporter inside the team, have fun with that.
