Knowing what we know today,
We should have fired Alleva and let a new AD hire the new coach.

Miles needed to go, but Alleva and Fking screwed things up so bad the cynical part of me thinks it had to be intentional.

Goddamit. It didn't have to be a Les vs O decision.

It's not, but many people here didn't believe in the buyer beware statements of those who warned about firing miles

I thought it was time for him to go, but there was some comfort in having a known entity in place

I would never fire miles for ed fricking orgeron. I agree it was time for miles to go but for a proven winner not this disaster.

I know lots of people want Alexander gone, and I'll ask again.

Who fires him?

The most frustrating thing to me is the contract...

Most knew O was a huge reach of a hire, and maybe there were no other legitimate options, but you could have easily paid him half of what he was offered

Yes, Miles ship left years back. Last night isn’t about Miles...it’s about our lack of a coaching search that even then made LSU the laughingstock of college football.

YES... Knowing what we know know, we should have fired Miles after losing to Bama in the championship game. The program never recovered from that game, and the slow spiral down is clear. The exodus of players and commitments during Miles last years has led to what we have now.

Yes the scab had to be ripped off. The problem is the wound was left untreated and now it's fricking infected.

I think it's less about the hire and more about why O was given an additional $12m guaranteed beyond this year. He should have been a cheap hire.

Who was it that left us so thin in both lines that we can barely field a team? And linebackers and wr?

Hell no. The mistake was keeping him in 2016. It forced us to fire him after AU and gave O an opening

Yeah, but would have done more homework and a better job in recruiting his replacement.
