Kirby, Jimbo and Lincoln are prime reasons I don’t buy this whole “LSU isn’t where you get your first HC job” nonsense. frick that noise, if you’re a good coach, you’re a good coach. Taking a chance has clearly paid off for all of these programs.
I would be fine giving Aranda a shot if it were between that and losing him.

The east has 2 9-3 teams outside of uga.
The west has 1 and its lsu.
A 4 loss team finished 2nd in the west this year.

Look at history. Generally a great coach has a break through season in year 2 @ a school. Saban won the SEC here in yr 2, Kirby did great, you can look down the line and see the impact great second yr coaches have at their schools.
Ed has the highest scoring game in history I guess. Lost though. No championships coming this way.

They beat Florida, and are currently beating Bama by 14. The gap between the east and west isn’t nearly as big as it was a couple years ago.
