Yes. Again, what is your point? Brian Kelly had multiple scholarship quarterbacks on the team in his first season and went out and got another from the portal. This shouldn’t even be a talking point.

BK inherited team with talent on offense but very little talent on defense. Couple that with what is obviously a bad hire at DC and you see what you’re getting. I assume he’ll replace House and continue to bring in more talent on defense. It’s a building process.

But they chose not to play Nuss and play Jontre. Therefore saying or implying there were scholarship QBs on the team for the bowl is a bit misguided.

They are nothing alike. Smart is a great coach and maybe the best recruiter in the country.
Kelly is a mediocre recruiter and has put out the worst defense in LSU history and the team is going to be worse next year. He also has not built a foundation outside of OL recruiting.

No, but anyone comparing Kelly to Smart is stupid. Smart is on an entirely different level and Kelly will never touch him or Saban. Kelly is a very good not great coach. He had good success at ND, and I honestly think he did because it was a program that fit him well. I don’t think LSU does, and his recruiting shows that.

I made a statement about major P5 schools and you brought up Kansas. LSU and Kansas are not comparable. I'm not disagreeing that he is doing a good job.
