Motion? He fact that we don't incorporate motion into almost every play is mind boggling. We are just throwing away our biggest strength, our speed, especially at WR. We are allowing linebackers and DLineman to play straight downhill because there is no threat of being stretched sideline to sideline.

You're just guessing based on O's "warp speed" comment. He's routinely overpromised and underdelivered so I'm not sure why you think a miracle has happened over the last 6 days.

This is a fair and accurate statement.

Well I’m sure you aren’t getting the reply’s you had hoped for but most of the cucks here want to see Orgeron fail. They don’t like him and nothing make would them happier than to see the Tigers fail miserably do they can feel vindicated.

The weather may make a difference in play calling.

because of protection issues and Max panicking. The offense will be more West coast and try to challenge the defense laterally.

So someone finally told them that screen pass here and there will help with the blitz…that short crossing patterns and a quicker tempo will give your young qb some confidence…that even if your line could hold up, your QB doesn’t have the arm talent to consistently make accurate throws downfield.

Damn, even the most pedestrian fan was screaming that before the half against UCLA. Yet it only took our coaching staff a couple of weeks. Not bad.

With Mad Max at the helm, surely you jest. Anything past 10 yards flutters.

Coach E got in their ear all week. He helped Brady learn to call plays, now its Peetz.

So we’re changing the offense 3rd game of season? Sounds promising.

All the defense will do is creep their safeties up and minimize lateral plays and now they are also almost in the box for run plays. They better not totally eliminate verticals, they will be doomed in the SEC. I agree the lateral element needs to be a part of the game plan, but you better go vertical also. If Johnson isn’t capable of doing that mentally ( with reads ) or physically ( lack of arm or accuracy ), it’s time to try Nuss.

Now picture max protect with only 2 WRs both running shallow routes to get the ball out quick. If we come out and do this we will not be able to run the ball at all unless one of the freshmen have a coming out party. Max runs the chance to throw some INTs if we do this, he sometimes throws a little behind the receivers on slants and crossers.

The offensive game plan discussed by O all week has not sounded beneficial to offensive production or efficacy. We will see though.

It's fair to observe that O routinely overpromises and that his "warp speed" comments have to be taken in that context.
However, we know O is unhappy with the offense and there is every reason to believe that O knows he is playing for his job right now.
I read the tea leaves that Orgeron is ready to take significant risks to keep his job and he is willing to try a hyper-up tempo pace on offense, to see if it makes a difference. Whether this offense can pull it off is another thing entirely, but CMU may not be ready for it based on film.
Worth a try! Ed has nothing to lose, b/c he looks like toast now.
