Thought a 12 Y O would have an intelligent response like this

They just showed the highlights of the game on ESPN. Didn’t even show either of the grand slams. Thats how badly they were outmatched today.

I don’t see how anyone could be impressed with WVU performance today. Even WVU would agree to that

They just kept coming and working. Never stopped and have continued to get hits, get on base, work counts. They worked up Kade pretty good. They were down by a million but never stopped.

They didn’t quit and are very good in a couple of areas, but they are also exactly what everyone said they were. Their pitching is bad past their starters, who are just good, not great. Their fielding and defense are a joke.

I’m not sure how they’ve won as much as they have as much as they mess up in the field and can’t turn double plays. It looks like they’ve managed to outhit their problems vs a lot of teams, but that’s likely not going to work vs Kade and now Eyanson.

Good game fellas. Bit disappointed with some of WVU’s decisions today. Pretty damn frustrating. Hoping for a good game tomorrow.

I imagine your fanbase isn’t very happy with some of your coach’s pitching decisions today. They were…something.

Today was a perfect example of why you need to throw strikes. Which our bullpen has struggled with too all season.

They just ran into a buzz saw today

If we're gonna be honest with ourselves, they lost thay game much more than we won it. Those two grand slams were awesome, but we didnt exactly hit the bases loaded either time.

Their defense is very sketchy

They can hit

The SP was solid. The RPs were awful

I bet they don't leave their AC rooms until the coach makes them

Where did you see someone say that they sucked? It’s an adult conversation. You’re so cool

How much of Andersons off day was due to getting hit by the ball in the second inning? Seemed to really affect him more than was let on.

Well I mean LSU created those walks by not swinging at trash like they’ve been known to do many time this year. Very disciplined at the plate today and they finally made the big hits when it mattered in this one. So yea I’d say LSU won it.

The bottom of the fifth inning took forever. I think Anderson went 40 minutes without throwing a pitch.

But, despite the line drive off the arm scare and the 10-1 lead, Johnson sent him back out there to eventually throw 113 pitches. That was crazy.

There's no way that very mediocre West Virginia team gets six runs and six hits off Kade Anderson under normal circumstances.

I know. I've seen our bullpen, too. I wondered if the bullpen could really hold a 10-1 lead. But Kade should have been put in bubble-wrap after that fifth inning.

I give West Virginia credit for being "pesky" and still swinging the bats. But they're not that good. The NCAA committee gave us a real break this year.

Did you not read the thread title? He said he was impressed by their hitting, like they were supposed to be a sub par team. Any team making the supers, is going to hit… sorry you didn’t get that…

I think Kade pitched well, but given a ten run lead he probably lost a little focus and filled the zone more than normal. But WVU is supposed to be a good hitting team.

When he got hit he came back and had his best stretch. I don’t think it affected him at all. kciDAtaE and Lester Earl have both pointed out what I think happened; Kade got a big lead and started filling the zone more, which allowed them to get some good swings. If we don’t hit those slams we win 6 to 4 or something like that.

Eyanson is arguably better than Anderson right now and might match up better against this team. Let's hope we seal it tomorrow.

Didn't they both throw a shutout in the Regional? We will see what Eyanson does against them today.
