When Kim was at Baylor, she was a fundraising machine. She helped fundraise for their MBB and also for their new BB arena. She brought that fundraising talent to LSU. She can sell just about anything, talk you into just about anything.

Bad Idea , only because the injury factor

No. It’s a bad idea for a lot of reasons. Southern wouldn’t be able to generate enough interest. The opponent would have to be a traditional powerhouse like UConn or Stanford or Notre Dame that would make the game attractive enough to televise. The TS groundskeepers are having a collective heart attack hearing this….to the folks citing Nebraska and Iowa doing something similar, those stadiums have turf.

Screw Southern. Do it for our NIL so we get a couple more big time recruits

In Iowa, a bug zapper would pack the stadium full.

It would have to be a Quad header

Like

4 Big teams
4 Small Teams

Each Big School would bring a Small school (likely from their home state)

Every team would get a Nice payday.

Might work if done right

Who really thinks there'll be 102,000 in the stands to see Southern play?

They can't get 102,000 butts in the seats for a prime-time football game.

Great idea but would a total waste to do that for a game against Southern

they could probably get a decent crowd if they closed the upper decks. I bet it could be close to full against a decent opponent

What if only 15,000 or 20,000 show up, after all that effort and hype? Does that “advance” women’s basketball, or does that just serve as clear evidence that the women can’t draw a large crowd?

That’s a full-on retarded idea.

This isn’t an original idea - Dale Brown tried to get this done back in the day.

dumb - it never rains in Tiger Stadium - for football
Basketball - chance of rain "all day"
Football - chance of rain "never"

how about some swollen wood floor just from the humidity....I cant tell you how dumb this idea is.
Lets acclimate the wood floor

if the stadium was able to be enclosed then sure you have a backstop JIC but it would be a monumental task and exposure to loss beyond all means

What would the cost be? If lsu played a basketball game in tiger stadium, the lower bowl would sell out at 10 a ticket… that’s 600k. If they played at the pmac it would be far less. Cow palace or bust in my opinion of course tickets would cost more.
