It would make sense if she is interested in coming to LSU. In HS she showed keen insights by going to Nirth Louisiana to play for Leon Barmore, despite her love for LSU. The HC at LSU was not up to the standard of Barmore.
Unfortunately she graduated HS 2 years before Sue Gunter showed up at LSU. If Gunter had been LSU's coach at the time, LSU may have had a shot at her.

Yeah, you are probably right. But dreaming is fun sometimes.

I heard from a source that has been close to LSU’s WBB program for decades that Kim wants to come home. We’ll see if LSU can make her an offer she can’t refuse. As bad as so many things are in our State, there are so many folks who have left our state, who regardless of what they have accomplished, just want to come home. It is a big motivator for lots of folks. Hiring Mulkey would bring immediate cred to our program for sure. To the nattering nabobs of negativity re: women’s sports, Title IX is here to stay. Deal wit it!

Pass. She had her chances. Turned down LSU after HS. Turned down LSU after Pokey

You’ve obviously never been responsible for hiring for any position. You go after the best candidate.
If Bama’s AD used your “strategy” and gotten butthurt like you, they never would have landed a national championship winning coach when Saban first turned them down.
They persisted, got their guy, and have largely owned the sport since.

Sure, but how will you deal with girls who used to be boys dominating women’s college sports? Because that’s looking like a real possibility in the near future.

This has nothing to do with Mulkey or LSU trying to get the best coach possible for WBB.

It's simply a biological fact: females have XX chromosomes in every cell, males have XY.
People can try to wish it away all they want, but it's simply a fact, just as 1+1=2.

People are downvoting because this is not the thread for the discussion of that. It has no relevance to the OP or topic.

It would be a great day at LSU, were Mulkey to return, it would signal GREATER things to follow, I contend....
Accountability, competence and work-ethic would be the signal!!!

What’s great about Mulkey is she would bring so much to the program AND to the university as a whole. Something we really could use right now. What she has accomplished as a woman athlete and coach is astounding. Many people obviously know who she is but if she was this accomplished as a male she would be a literal icon. Like Pete Maravich status. Unfortunately, when something sounds too good to be true it usually is. But frick it, I’m in! Geaux Tigers!

To be fair, the admins haven't whacked this thread yet. Mulkey also didn't squash anything herself during the Culotta interview. Apparently Kramer has even liked some posts about the rumor on twitter.
All of this could very well mean nothing, but it could also be legitimate smoke too.
