Mulkey makes $2.27 M and Geno gets $2.4 M. Scott would have to make her the highest paid wbb coach in America to lure her here. That's not happening.

Yes, because Scott Woodward has certainly shied away from paying high salaries to his hires.

Not that I agree with it, but in the current climate at LSU I can see Woodward making Mulkey the highest paid coach in Women’s college basketball. It’s the ultimate women & women’s sports matter to us move.

Mulkey checks a lot of boxes for sure, but she won’t come cheap. LSU can afford it, but tbd if they pony up enough to make her come.

If Woodward wants her, I imagine he’ll be fine opening the checkbook.

I’d be happy to have Mulkey play a role in the Title IX office, too. LSU desperately needs to show urgency on correcting those wrongs.

Well, doesn’t look like it will happen today, if it happens at all. If the rumored 3pm press conference was taking place, they’d be shouting it from the roof tops.

Jordy was talking about how here fundraiser ability will outweigh the hefty salary at first. Also said how the strong personality that Mulkey has might be a great optic given the recent months news.

LSU fans support winners. I don't think it will be the financial downfall many believe. I also agree it's a great political move after the last few months. It's a home run hire.

Not true. I bet LSU can get her for less than $1.2 but she will want a 10 year contract. She needs to be back in Louisiana for personal reasons.

I keep seeing this posted but I fail to see how putting money into women's basketball has anything to do with sexual harassment in the football program. Literally the only similarity is that both events involve females

Potentially hiring Kim Mulkey is like hiring Urban Meyer, or Jay Wright, or Corbin of Vandy.

You don't pry these coaches away from their schools unless they know they can be as or more successful at LSU. That is the sales job Woodward has. The money is not the issue.

Mulkey likely makes more than Geno considering Tx has no state income tax and Ct has is out the arse.

La taxes aren't high but higher than 0 in Texas. I know property tax is a deal for most of us. But when you are making 2.4 million a year how tough is paying an extra 5-9 thousand a year with no state income tax living in Tx vs La.

She cannot be coming based on $.
