Kiffin's motivations for coming to LSU.

Ole Miss was prepared to match LSU dollar for dollar on coach salary, staff salary, and NIL commitments. Sure LSI is paying a lot of money for this football team, but guess what? So is everybody else. Kiffin isn't here for the money. It would make no logical sense for him to be. He could have stayed at Ole Miss and had the exact same amount of money. Kiffin chose LSU because he believes he can build something special here. That is the ONLY reason. Look there are no guarantees in football or in life, and maybe it doesn't work out. But the comments around here that he's just here to get a check and he's ripping us off like Brian Kelly are frankly pathetic. You can question just about anything when it comes to Lane Kiffin, but not his motivations for being here. There is truly only one logical reason he would be here and that is because he believes in the power and pedigree of the LSU program and brand.

BK showed the blueprint to fleece LSU. Kiffin knows he'll never win anything so he saw what BK did and couldnt pass that up. Its a smart move

It’s always about money. No need to cover for that.
I’ve taken a pay cut to take a job because it had a higher potential for increased earnings. It worked out. One step backward to take 2 steps forward.
I have no issue with Kiffin taking this job for a greater income earning potential.

No coach fully understands how high the expectations are here. And the crazy part is, save a once a decade team, LSU football is average at best

Disagree, its not always about the money. Just even personally, and I make WAY less than Mr. Kiffin, I get job offers regularly for more money, but I like my current company/situation, etc. The OP is correct, he came here to build something...or more important to with Natties.

5 p4 teams have more wins than LSU since 2000. Two of them being Clemson and Oklahoma who are inferior to LSU IMO
Bama, UGA, and Ohio State are the only programs who can look down at LSU.
