He said he wanted some continuity on defense and that he thought baker was a good defensive coordinator who had good relationships with the players….all of which are true.

He’s a good defensive coordinator, not a great or elite one…as I’ve said for 3 years straight now

Every LSU championship team had an elite defense. If Kiffin wants a championship, that must happen.

Blake might be "good" against average teams when we play at home, but he is terrible against "good" teams on the road and against 2 minute offenses, he is the worst of the worst.

Losing Weeks in the middle was catastrophic. Like losing a star QB

Baker's 2 greatest flaws is he shits the bed against true dual threat QBs(as in ones who can actually threat with their arm) and he's his own worst enemy in 2 minute defense. His soft shell scheme is absolutely atrocious in 2 minute drills because it goes against a guy who their entire identity is about being aggressive.

Chambliss, making mistakes under pressure. Mincey the times he was under pressure last night he looked like Sam Leavitt at his worst. Pressure makes QBs do bad things. I said this before the game they need to pressure Mincey he's not a good QB under pressure. When it works Baker goes against it. This is what's so maddening. Someone needs to sit him down and show him through his 3 years here your soft shell does not work in 2 minutes.

If you get torched for being aggressive OH WELL you were going to give up a score anyway with your soft D. You want to know what my philosophy is? You play prevent you prevent a win. That's what I think in all forms of football.

Blake deserves criticism for last night. He was out-coached.

He thought it was worth it to keep continuity on that side of the ball…it was obviously a miscalculation

Sounds cheap. We pay that for a 'good" qb now.

Kiffin is paid as if he is the #1 head coach (comparable with Cignetti and Kirby, the only 2 who might be paid a few dollars more).

Weis is the second highest paid OC.

Baker is the second highest paid DC.

(If performance is not going to be demanded, LSU should simply not pay so much. LSU has overpaid for coaches since, at least, 2015 or so. The only year there was a return on that money, at least in 15 years, was 2019. #Provemewrong)
