LSU Athletics needs you to pull us out of this slump.

Kiff can do a good job. But we also just got Wade back and Jay is a 2 x natty champ. I think we will be fine. Calm your bits.

Scott Woodward is gone. That is the biggie.

Be lucky if Kiff can do 1/2 as well as JJ

We just have the dog days of summer left before the fun returns to LSU.

Baseball literally won a NC last year. Baseball hasn't been the problem. Football has been the issue. We are 7 years removed from even being in the playoffs with expanded playoffs. Hopefully, CLK is the answer. CJJ will turn everything around. We had the bats this year. We just didn't have the pitching. With 2 legitimate aces we are still playing.

Time to face reality...we are a golf school...

I don't understand why people give a rat's arse about baseball and basketball when the most easily fixed problem is lacrosse.
If LSU gave JR Ball just a little monetary support, he could build a dynasty.
Just imagine IT if you can, an LSU Lacrosse Dynasty. Dare to dream big!

Yeah we know. JJ won the CWS in 23 and 25.
Yeah we know. We'll Be Fine.

So if he won it all in 24 & 26 (in addition to above), you would think he is doing well with the program?

I just want us to call our coaches by their real names, and not some abbreviated version of it.

As long as he’s Rolfe’s chief propagandist I’ll be anti Lacrosse at LSU.

I suspect the poster is just a troll. Or one of the countless on here with ZERO critical thinking and deductive reasoning skills.
In 5 years the coach has won two National Championships (no coach has won two NCs in as short a period of time since South Carolina went back-to-back 15 years ago). He's also had one really bad season where his team didn't reach the NCAA Tournament. So removing all emotion and just looking at the data what future outcome seems more likely? Johnson wins another NC soon? Or he has another awful season?

That's a really good question. I am not sure if I know the answer, if I am being totally honest. There is a third answer that may be the most likely, and that is neither.
From a historical perspective, here are the coaches who have won 2 or more baseball national championships. 17 head coaches have won two or more in the history of the CWS. 7 of those have gone on to win at least 1 more, 8 did not, and two are still active. Those would be Jay Johnson and Tim Corbin,
Rod Dedeaux 10
Augie Garrido 5
Skip Bertman 5
Jerry Kindall 3
Bobby Winkles 3
Dick Siebert 3
Pat Casey 3
Jay Johnson 2
Tim Corbin 2
Andy Lopez 2
Ray Tanner 2
Jim Morris 2
Mark Marquess 2
Ron Fraser 2
Cliff Gustafson 2
Jim Brock 2
Bibb Falk 2
All that to say, I fully believe Jay will win another one at LSU.
