20 tackles
17 solo tackles
2 sacks

He needs to be the honorary captain this weekend.

Is that the game we lost and they scored their points on plays when he was on the sideline?

That was a Les Miles special. He could screw up a game we had no business losing with the best of them.

Yes. He was out and I think Ronnie Feist came in.

He got a strip sack that put us near the goal line before half and we ended up turning it over on downs.

Yes- he cramped up from playing beast mode all game and they ran right at his replacement.

LSU Career Highlight reel

If any of you haven't seen any defense this year, take a look.

Not sure that applies here. That 2012 was one of the most snakebitten by injury that I could remember (up until this year's).

In just that UF game, we lost Kwon (after he'd just broken into the starting lineup as a freshman) and Williford. OL was already hurting without Chris Faulk and then they had to reshuffle in game.

Though if I had a gripe, it'd be that they didn't break out Jeremy Hill until the next week.

2012 was one of those years where we were like 2 plays away from pounding ND in the title game

If minter got a hand on you, it was a tackle at that spot.

And good lord it's nice watching someone get off blocks

Yeah Minter was a monster that game but that was a brutal game overall. And of course when LSU finally had a nice offensive play Odell fumbles it away

That 2012 team really should have gone 12-0

kind of nuts that if not for Nick returning to Bama, Les could have easily gone down as a multi time NC winning head coach and one of the greatest of all time.

Last time I saw Kevin Minter, he had a huge Super Bowl ring on his hand

They still would have had to beat Georgia which was far from a certain thing

Welter (reg season)

Injuries
Alfred Blue (season)
Chris Faulk (season/ career)
Williford (season/ career)
Kwon (second half of season)

Yes exactly the one. His performance was one of the best single game performances from a defensive player that was wasted in a loss.

God that brings me nostalgia for a time when LBs and safeties actually knocked players back during a tackle.

Minter was truly underrated. He was always around the football. Such a fun player to watch in the purple and gold.
