What year will he join our staff?
2020
2021
2022
2023

I have to assume he will join as an analyst.

He needs to hire a felon and get a notebook first based on past history

At O's press conference yesterday he said he hopes to get Mawae here one day.

Kind of frustrating that everyone else seems to think so highly of him...everyone except the LSU coach.

Have to think he’d coach circles around Cregg and couldn’t do any worse recruiting huh?

Other than being great in the BFL Mawae had never coached. He was an assistant O line coach with bears and that was it. He may turn out to be a great coach but he had very little experience then and still does now.

Very little now? No.

Less than Cregg? Yes.

Thing is, his background takes up ALOT of the experience shortfall. Like a young engineer coming in with a PhD.....

Kevin is absolutely capable of SUCCESSFULLY coaching at LSU now. The argument against is not valid anymore.

Agreed. I'm not saying we need to make a change, but if or when Gregg moves on from LSU for whatever reason, I think Mawae should be our first call. The only knock on him before now was that he had no coaching experience. He has that now at both the NFL and college level. Would love to bring him home when the time is right!

I would take his experience over Meatball's experience.

Ponamsky. Not a coach, but he wanted to be cute with his post.

Based on what? Coach O was just saying yesterday on the radio how he'd love to get Mawae back to LSU at some point.

He is an analyst for his former NFL coach. Mawae May end up being a good coach but where are all these people that think so highly of him as a coach?

Can we please let Cregg finish his second year as a coach before we make a judgement on him?

I get the argument playing doesnt mean you can coach

But Mawae is somewhat a different case

He played guard, center, and tackle in his career. That is every position on the line. He took more coaching and development on the line than a normal player.
