We whiffed on two of the best OC candidates in America to Tennessee and fricking Liberty University

It’d be funny if it wasn’t so sad

Well we had an opening and weren't going bowling but we hired a Les Miles coach to sure up our Les Miles offensive woes. how smart does that sound?

Also would be very bad to run your OC off BEFORE signing day... the guy who has three 4* QB's committed for the next 2 yrs.

I'm sure all those QBs would decommit if they found out KB was replacing E

What do you think will be worse for optics/recruiting: 1) O and E putting the same stale offense out next year and getting blanked by Bama again or 2) changing to a young dynamic (or older but proven winner) OC that will actually develop the QB and run a high powered offense?

Yeah for sure we gonna worry about Tennessee.

I hear Saban is shaking in his little boots over the prospect of Briles lighting him up every TSIO, or whenever.

As much as he's worried about Eaux and Slinger probably

The only good thing about keeping Ensminger around is maybe it will lead to us getting rid of O sooner. But even that isn't likely with how Alleva is praising this past season

Miles and now O, think you have to be a power running team first and in actuality you can be without trying to "establish the run first". You can go all the way back to Spurrier at Florida, they would sling it all over the field in the first half and then come back in the second half and hammer you for a buck, fifty rushing.

Clearly not the point.

The point is that:

A) Ed said he would hire the best coordinators in his silly binder. He clearly is not. He hired an old retread who has an anemic offense.

B) The best offensive minds are clearly available, as they are being courted by other schools in the conference. Which confirms that we are CHOOSING not to hire the best and the brightest, for other, dumber reasons.

Ed has what he considers the best OC in the country because SE is his bud and is being a "yes man". Nothing against SE, i like him, just stating the obvious.

Kendal Briles needs to be at LSU.

It's a perfect match.

I just don’t get why LSU has an aversion to offense. I just don’t get it.

Because our head coaches are morons and the president and AD allow it.

It's like we are afraid to hurt the staff's feelings or something.

As bad as you think LSU did this year they came in at #11 and are playing in NY6 bowl.

You are the problem.

As I've said in every one of these types of threads, it's so fricking simple.

LSU's goal is to do three things:

1) Win the division
2) Win the conference
3) Win the national title

They have done ZERO of those in the recent past and will continue to fall short of those goals going forward because of people like you who ignore the shite show that is our offense, because, well "9-3 isn't really that bad".

Either be LSU and make moves to compete for titles or tell the entire world you want to be Vanderbilt and be happy with 8-9 win seasons.

This shite show that is allowed to happen on offense every year is unacceptable. Period.

Are there any legs on this rumor? I don't see a thing about it on the SECR. Of course, the UT fans are scarce over there this year (and the last couple)

I hope this was a joke. You see the downvotes?
