I understand what you are saying. But, every time I have heard the players talk they have talked about errors so imo it’s jnfair to judge.

Have you not followed football?

That’s what players say.

Have you ever seen a college player say “my OC sucks and we suck because of the coach that controls my future sucks”

No it’s not..... in 09 we averaged 304.5 yards per game of total offense. This year we are at 362. Les actually had 3 years with less total offense that this team. Y’all gotta research stuff before you say it.

Dude, you can't look at it and compare the raw numbers. You have to look at how the production ranks compared to the field.

Example: look at 2006 compared to 2007. Our ypg went up, but our ranking dropped. Would you say an offense ranked lower than the year before is better just because it may have gained more yards? No, because it looks like everyone else was gaining more yards, too. It doesn't matter what we do over ourselves year over year, it matters what we do against the field.

But here's some research for you. Les only had one offense worse than this one. Once. And he was run out of town for fielding garbage offenses that prevented us from beating Bama.

2005: 60th 374.1
2006: 11th 417.5
2007: 26th 439.4
2008: 55th 368.1
2009: 112th 304.5 Only Miles offense worse
2010: 86th 341.3
2011: 86th 355.1
2012: 87th 374.2
2013: 35th 453.3
2014: 80th 387.5
2015: 49th 437.3
2016: 59th 423.2
2017: 54th 411.1
2018: 103rd 362.4

Yes I follow football. Do you? Players get graded nowadays on how they preform. Truth is in the tape.

Well if he's gonna stand by "his guy" who's leading one of the worst offenses in the entire country, then he's an idiot.

A 6 yard difference but in ‘08 it was almost 50 spots better in total O than it is today. This tells you a lot about how the game has changed and if we don’t change our scheme and philosophy we will not compete for a championship anytime soon

Yup. The field is getting better and LSU is getting left behind. If we don't modernize our O, we are going to lean more and more on our defense every year.

You didn’t say anything about tape.

You talked about what the players were saying.

That’s not tape.

But numbers don’t lie.

Our offense stinks. We are doing NOTHING to manufacture points or yards. We’re just going out there and hoping we have a good day.

Does it matter? Steve E barely could get points on the board against SLU.

I don't agree with it, but like I said earlier today. I think SE remains the OC next year. The talent level is not going to increase that much next year. If our oline is as terrible as everyone says, it definitely won't.

I have a feeling next year will be more of the same. Maybe worse because I think teams are figuring us out. We'll see. O better hope so, or that will be the end for him.

I'm not sure where all of this recent talk about Orgeron needing or much less wanting a new OC is coming from. Following the toxic relationship between Orgeron and Canada after only 1 season, it was made clear that Orgeron's fate was in the hands of Ensminger.

Now, all of sudden Orgeron has won 8 games and everyone is talking about him replacing his OC.... AGAIN. He clearly got it wrong again and his offense is among the worst in all of college football. This isn't a very good look for Orgeron and the talk everywhere would be much different if LSU was a 3 or 4 loss team right now.

Everyone here and in the nation can see that LSU does NOT have a good offense. The notion is truly terrible when talking to people further away from SEC land. Most think that our offense has been putrid for years, which is mostly correct, but it really hasn't been as bad as it may seem. However, this hurts our ability to recruit nationally and certainly hurts our chances at getting the blue chip Quarterback we all covet.

This team and program needs a complete change on the offensive side of the ball. If coach O cannot figure this out after the last 3 years, I don't think he ever will. Saban saw the landscape of college football and as hard as he fought against it, he realized the tide was against him and so he changed. Now he has one of the most prolific offenses ever and keeps winning championships. If our coaches do not realize a change is needed and that coach E is good enough, then we are going to remain mediocre for the foreseeable future.

The lawsuit alleges Kendal Briles, former Baylor assistant coach, encouraged these actions and once asked a Dallas potential recruit.....

Steve E and O have managed to put together one of the worst offenses in a very long time.

If Kendal Briles is wrong, I don't want to be right.

Go search for the thread. He wanted to be here last year after Canada was fired but Alleva and F.Queen put the brakes on it because of MUH optics.

It means that if by "everything is ok" you are implying that Ensminger is staying on as OC, then everything is most certainly NOT ok

If only they gave points for yards gained.

In the offensive stat that matters, ppg, 2002, 2009 and 2017 were worse this century.
Maybe vs Rice LSU ups avg a bit, but Ed is 2/2 on terrible scoring offenses.

What point are you making? For reference LSU is ranked 98th in sacks allowed on the season.
