look for Texas to try to set up shop in Louisiana. That is LSU's main competition right now.

They have close to 400 kids in Tx that sign scholarships every year. LSU will continue to get players out of Tx. There are a number of high school coaches and folks in Tx, with LSU ties.
The 2024 LSU class had right at 70% Louisiana kids. LSU has always recruited players from Tx, Ms, Alabama and Ga. They will continue this. Kelly is trying to lock down Louisiana, an doing a great job.

But but but... Bama fans & Reece Davis told me he wasn't a cultural fit for Louisiana.

Fornicating with one's own sister counts as "fitting in culturally" in Alabama.

The ones that play the money game, worry more about that than the football game.
That aTm #1 class did great, right? It got the head coach fired.
You never get every in state player, an that’s a good thing. I can make a list of players, LSU was way better off them leaving. You can try, but you can’t fix every kid.

that staff is set up to dominate Louisiana recuits both in the tranfer portal and high school. I agree with the poster that said now that Saban is not in the SEC, look for Texas to try to set up shop in Louisiana. That is LSU's main competition right now.
Texas needs to worry more about LSU taking their recruits. There are plenty kids born in Louisiana, or family who live in Louisiana, but the kids stay and play in Texas. Lot of Louisiana ties from kids currently in Texas, but not a lot in reverse.

Hes building in preparation for what many believe to be the 3 class('25-'27)deep wave of talent from Louisiana that will lead to our next title run. Shouldn't be any fretting about that.

The ball is sitting on the tee for him, all BK has to do now is hit it out of the park.

Not that it matters for recruiting but it definitely didn't hurt when we went to hire him

The strategy appears to be focus on Louisiana and bordering states. With the transfer portal, keeping players near home will create much more stability. There are few areas of the country where that would work, due to lack of talent. It will work here.

I love the staff. I just hope Joe Sloan is ready for the big time when the lights come on

And lack of instate competition.

And Louisiana people are a prideful bunch.

And the smaller communities with big football programs here are very close knit and having coaches at LSU they trust will be big.

Excited.

CBK knows the next 2 La classes 25/26 is loaded and he needs to keep that talent in state and in BR, those classes will lead LSU to chips

He has put together a dream team of coaches on offense and defense. You don't have to pay high NIL to players you just get a superstar bunch of coaches and let them Coach up the players you get.
