From the NC point of view it was a mistake. But the money enticed him. Notre Dame was not paying him nearly enough.
I think, he has made enough in the 4 years at LSU and Penn State will be able to match his salary.

I picked what many would say are the top 3 in cfb and then picked just about all of the top coaches in the NFL. Sure, sometimes it doesn't work out. But it's clear that the top teams all went that route in both cfb and the NFL because it has the most upside. Do you want upside or do you want steady 8-10 win seasons?

Totally agree. I wish Kelly would leave but no way is anyone else paying him what he makes here. We are stuck with him for another year or 2 at least.
He’s a good coach but he won’t win anything of significance. Year 4 and it’s the same shite.
