Exactly. Had they lost to BAMA and beaten Texas A&M last seasons the expectations would have been more realistic.

Considering the condition of the program when he took over anything better than 0-6 is impressive. And we don't play Georgia last year if we don't win the west.

Or him signing a Saban, national championship-winning coach contract and having 30 years in coaching increased expectations.

What’s most amazing about that stat is that in 12 years, Kelly faced 15 top 10 teams at ND, and prior to finishing his 2nd year at LSU, he’s already faced 6.

I get USC was largely down during that time, but geeze…
