Looks like I would make this my priority and sit Boutte until he can adjust that attitude. And if he can't come around, it's probably addition by subtraction anyway
I think he'll come around. I expect him to do better going forward.
I also think we may get to see a little more of Bech at TE or slot and Lacy in the slot getting some catches going forward. I hope we run some more tempo next game and going forward.
We need a better running game, this is the year for Emey to show out, doesn't look like the other RBs were getting it done but it is just one game.
13 carries by the RBs for 38 yards, less than 3 YPC. Daniels was 16 for 114 yards, over 7 YPC. You don't want your QB to be have the most carries or be your best rusher as a rule, that has to improve.

This is inaccurate.
He did initially make comments like you say.
Later in the off-season, he praised Boutte and the coaches awarded him #7.
He was coaching/motivating him early in the offseason.
Let’s reserve judgement on a young man who has just played one game since coming back from jnjury.
I’m sure he is more disappointed in himself this morning than you are in him.

Enough with this Boutte narrative. Just as yall assume hes "checked out" or given up, yall give up on our own players so quickly. He's from Louisiana and chose to be here why not root for the kid to be successful? Yall suck...

Seems like you should be a little more concerned that your team had the game in the bag with a little over a minute to play, up by 7, then fumbled the ball away on the 1 and gave up a 99-yard TD drive that 99% of the time would’ve sent the game to OT.
All against a team that’s basically a patchwork quilt this year.
That’s a way bigger problem than dropped TD passes. Those happen every game.

The only way Boutte getting No 7 jersey makes sense is that it was part of the negotiation for him to stay and not transfer. He got his money and the jersey.
I cannot imagine Kelly giving him No. 7 otherwise. He felt like he had to at that point in the rebuilding process. The price to keep Boutte was too high.
