How sad is it that 6 games into the season, we'd be wishing we had Max starting under center

Didn’t Max get hurt from taking one lick too many?
Just think how beat up he’d get with the OL we gave now.
We are 122nd in sacks allowed.

Did he recognize the QB he ran off was the best he would ever coach ? He is getting what he deserves ! Myles' release was at least 4 seconds faster than JD's. The Packers O line couldn't protect JD !

Kelly prefers DT QBs. Look at his history. Look at the QBs he’s recruiting now. He’s stubborn and will not change his Offense to fit today’s game. Just watch. His O at ND is only slightly better than our boy Les’. It’s not bad but it’s not gonna strike fear in the SEC. he will hire OCs that will fit his philosophy and not young innovators. He’s a bid 10 guy at heart. Not that it’s really bad cause he can win with it but it’s going to boil down to, wait for it, execution and ball control.

He is doing a good job in recruiting right now so we'll have to see what he can do.

more polished qbs in the portal?

Care to name the more polished QBs that LSU would've had any shot at?

Thanks for clarifying that timeline. It would be hilarious to watch all of the comments by people speculating with no clear understanding of the situation, if it wasn't so sad.

I was irritable from the day after day year after year negativity, and was probably a little harsh. But I by no means think Kelly is a 100% sure thing. He won’t be terrible, but he may not be anywhere close to what we hope he’s gonna be. He’s made some head scratchers. I do think—and maybe this is wishful thinking—that we don’t know the whole story about a lot of things that would make more sense if we did. I don’t buy his reason for Perkins not playing. It had to be a little injury or a a discipline thing. Only thing that makes sense.

Cause if not—and I heard Carter from Carter the Power Hour on Nick Dias show saying, “if that actually was the case, that Perkins didn’t fit that particular game plan, then what does that say about Tennessee’s offense that they can scheme our best defensive player out of the game?” I thought about that for a bit and was like, “Holy shite, if BK WAS telling the truth about Perkins, what are these young 40-year-old offensive guys in the SEC gonna do to him?”

I think it’s also concerning that we’re so reactive instead of being proactive. And by the time we react, it’s usually too late. And the not deferring to then2nd half decisions with our offense are just objectively bad calls.

However, there could be all kinds of things we don’t know about that he’s protecting people from that if we knew we’d feel a lot better. It’s just not time—imo—to draw any sweeping judgements on how he’s gonna be going forward. He inherited a bad situation and has had some bad luck. I’ll give him time to adjust. Cause what’s the alternative? To be miserable again? Most people on this board missed the greatest 2 decades in LSU football history because they didn’t like the coaches, how they talked, and how unaestheticlally pleasing our winning was. No thanks. Too old for that. Earth only rotates around the sun so many times in a lifetime.

Starting to look like the new system isn't a good fit for LSU.

I am starting to think Kelly was not impressed by Nuss opting out of the bowl game to save his redshirt. It was a move the old regime would have accepted

He had a chance to be the starter during bowl prep. Prove he could be a leader. Sacrifice for the team. Instead he opted out and Kelly asked Brennan to come back and went after Daniels. Seems like he didn’t like what he saw.

You have no f…ing idea what you’re talking about. Myles Brennan has more heart and more conviction and dedication to LSU than JD has in his little finger. Brennan endured 5+ years at LSU, 2 major injuries, 3 head coaches and 6 OCs. Even though he explored the portal his heart, obviously was always with LSU. He never wavered until Kelly lead him on and he had no options. That’s the facts. When Myles was told he was 3rd team only because Denbrock was putting in a running QB system he did what no one including Kelly thought he would do. He retired from college football.. Kelly bet that Myles would never leave no matter how he was treated and Myles called his bluff. Sometimes you have to watch what you ask for..
So how ya like the way things are going so far?

Guess Denbrock never got around to installing that running QB system.

If that’s the case numb nuts then why did he beg Myles not to transfer! I swear y’all people are something else!

Because we didn't have JD at the time he talked Brennan to come back.

Brennan was only a means to an end for BK.
Once Jayden transferred here he had no use for Brennan anymore.
