Kelly - based on the talent we have at the WR position, two TE's would not be appropriate

Kelly's press conference today - a great week of preparation against an SEC opponent on the road.

Kelly - LSU's playing with two freshmen tackles, they will certainly be challenged vs Aub's defense on the road, you have to be more than just physically prepared to play as freshmen and our freshmen have what it takes.

Kelly - In my system of offense you can't run the ball as well without a TE, it allows the balance that we're looking for...I'm going to always put the best eleven on the field... to add another TE would really not be the best grouping that we have, based on the talent at the wide receiver position.

TTT - Trust Kelly to always put his best eleven players on offense on the field. If LSU has the most talent at wide receiver, they are going to be on the field. What's not to love about this guy, I'm all in coach!

They started the game against Southern with 2 TE’s. I guess this is a public announcement for Denbrock to not do that anymore?

He also stated that he failed at getting Bech on the field and they’re gonna fix it

He's a smart coach. He knows KT87 is a liability in the run or pass blocking game and is a complete downgrade in the pass attack vs our talented WRs. It's not rocket science

Love hearing a coach talk like this. Kole Taylor has been tough to watch this year and Mason Taylor looks like he's he's still working on the chemistry with Jayden and undersized as a blocker. Kelly really should consider using Bechs size in the slot to our advantage. He's not a TE but he's big enough to throw some blocks

Besch looked good last game.

He’s in the mix after Boutte and Nabors.

Honestly Thomas is super underrated too.

Agreed. We’ve got 5-7 guys that can play at wr, so I’m glad to hear we will see 3 or 4 of them on the field at the same time more often.

I still have a hard time seeing an LSU football coach actually discussing football like somebody who knows what the frick they’re talking about.

What a glorious breath of fresh air.

Really? 245 lbs and 6'4" frame that can move compared to any other TE or WR asked to play on the OL?? How many times have you seen Bech set up in a blocking scenario on the LOS?
