Then I guess I have no idea what those chants and songs they play are for.... 
Anyhow the football team is comprised of students who are 18-22 (about) years old. If some of you don't believe they dont like hearing fans taunting the other team by song, you're ignorant.
No one wants to hear a good song banned but stuff happens.

I sit on the opposite corner on the north end and I haven't noticed any obscenities. Guess I'm also not really listening to the student section either.

If the students are going to act like children and rebel, then they should be treated as children and put in time out (i.e., lose their ticket privileges.) Shouldn't the more rational, reasonable people have a say in this? TGBFTL is the best damned band in the country and a few are ruining things for the rest of us.
I'm damned sick of songs that I like being taken away because the children think cursing and vulgarity is cute.
I was in one of the portals in the north end zone and some guy started cursing at the Idaho team and a state trooper put a stop to it.
If only the AD could get a handle on the students like this trooper did.

I don't scalp tickets. FYI, people who buy for less than face and sell for face value are not scalpers by definition of the word.

an unauthorized ticket speculator who buys tickets to a performance or sports event and resells them at inflated prices.
Check out my posts on the ticket exchange. I sell and always have sold for face value.
And for the record, I've never had a misdemeanor (or a felony for that matter) but I'm willing to put the Rant out of your misery.

After reading this entire thread I just want to say that the only vulgarities I heard during the band's songs were consistent but were from high school students and not college students. I was sitting in the student section.

If the people that run the band would just give the students what they want, which is the "neck" cheer, it might not be such a big deal ... until they do, I bet the students keep doing the hand and adding "suck that tiger dick, bitch" to everything.
I really don't care, but trying to censor the LSU Student Section, by removing things like "oh-we-oh" and "neck" is counterintuitive. The students aren't logical--if you take "neck" away they're just going to get drunker and add the words to something else.
The whole thing shows that the people that run the band and/or the music in TS have no f'ing idea about how to deal with drunk students, which is pretty hilarious since they are in the higher education business.
