Ricks’ mom said he wasn’t leaving either. I do think Boutte is more classy and less of a diva though.

Ricks did that shite for 2 years. He wasn’t local and had no ties here. Boutte ain’t leaving.

Exactly. A kid that grew up in Louisiana would have a hard time leaving us hanging without our best wr threat .this would be different though, it’s nearly unimaginable that a Louisiana born superstar , that starts at lsu ,would transfer to Alabama for his final season

This has been proven to be a fake Twitter account. There is no such credentialed sports reporter by the name WalterFriedman. Just a gump making a fake account to flame and stir up shite. He was doing it last year almost to the day and then went dark till now spewing this nonsensical bullshite.

"staying for spring" isnt

"Staying at LSU"

It's like a long time girlfriend hinting she wants a ring with an implied ultimatum.

As of now, Louisiana kids don’t leave unless they can’t get on the field here. They have it in their heart. Something lsu should keep im mind when recruiting. In 2020 coach O ignored some Louisiana kids and courted top players from all around the country. He missed on most but signed some. Half of the ones he signed have left already.

Yeah, a guy entering his fricking 6th year who just lost what looked like his last shot at the job and just looking to close his career with playing time leaving is totally the same as a 2nd year player. Completely the same.

His answer was the same , I’m staying through spring.

This is a problem. Boutte is one of, if not, THE best player on our roster. When you’re that good, you are in the position to be a leader on this team and when you can’t come out and declare your commitment, no matter what, to this team and university (and possibly flirting with the most hated inter divisional rival), your entire team suffers. This team has few leaders and Brennan, Boutte and some others need to step up this year.

“Imma be here at least til Spring” is bullshite and means he is not committed to LSU.

Staying through spring is some half arse bullshite. He can easily say I’m not leaving. Through spring WTF kind of answer is that

Brian Kelly has until spring to sell Boutte on next season. It sucks but it's true. Getting Brennan back from the portal is a GREAT start.

He isn’t being “noncommittal and coy” at all. He has stated that he will be here for spring ball.

I agree that this is mostly just paranoia of the board.

But, a guy on our team saying he will be here through the spring is not exactly a strong commitment to play football again for us.

It’s really pretty simple ... if Kelly implements a run-heavy offense, Boutte will likely leave. He’s giving Kelly an opportunity to show an offense that will allow him to shine. If he doesn’t, all bets are off.

My take as well, which seems reasonable.

Now to me, I heard that too and my interpretation is ‘I’m not going anywhere - I’ll be here in the spring’, which is when the team gets back together again. I don’t need every player to tell me that they’ll be here for the spring, the summer, the fall, a bowl game or few, next spring, next summer, next fall….

Just ‘I’m coming back’ is all I need.

Honestly, I believe his dad. He has one year left and it would make no sense to leave. He’s already shown he’s the best receiver in the country at LSU so he will be an extremely high pick.
