Wouldn't surprise me if that's what has potentially distracted him throughout this season. Now that Little Boutte is born, I can see him having better on the field performance, especially with the added dad strength abilities

I could see it being like the movie Cinderella Man where when he gets hit and envisions his family struggling and then whips the other boxers arse to make sure his family was taken care of.

Didn't Fred VanVleet do something like that for the Raptors when the won the NBA championship? I think he went off for the rest of the games after his kid was born.

Alex Bregman was AL POTM right after his kid was born.

Just like Charles Olivera in the UFC lately. He had a kid and has just been tearing it up

and just like with Boutte, people on here clowned on him for taking leave from Astros games to be there with his newborn and wife

This wouldn’t surprise me either. Trust me, I’m a dad and I’m strong AF.

Or he was distracted by the possibility of transferring to Bama

He's got to impress the scouts to feed his family. God bless him and his fam.

Congratulations to Kayshon. Having said that, I had to go to work offshore the evening after my daughter was born. It sucked, but that's life. He has the right to make this decision and good on him for taking on the responsibility. Personally, there ain't no fricking way I'm not on that field Saturday. Money year, coming off a disappointing start to the season, against New Mexico fricking State. Talk about a game to put you back in the national light. Or at least a game to find some chemistry with your QB. Not dissing the kid and I'm not privy to the whole situation. Just...I don't know man.

Josh Donaldson has also apparently played much better this season since his child was born.

A little bit different as the MLB season is 162 games and players can be put on the paternity list for up to 3 days during a childbirth to be with his family.

But it comes to the same in this case. Purple jersey game against a terrible opponent early in the year...it's not like he's missing a trip to Gainesville or the first weekend in November. Congrats to Kayshon and his gf and the newest Boutte and we'll see you next week

I’ve worked offshore with quite a few new dads and not a single one of them had to go offshore immediately after their child was born. Certainly not the next day.

Either you work(ed) for a really shitty company, or you chose to go offshore immediately.
