This thread is like Mississippi State football complaining Alabama got a transfer from another school over them. It's stupid.

you can have all the belief you want but you just made that up. for all you know he wants the most money, like almost all free agents.

Not crying at all, just think we would have the advantage. Maybe his parents would want to come watch.

correct, losing a player to KY or Duke or UNC is not a shame for anyone, even gonzaga or Kansas. those guys get who they want

Being close to home is the only advantage LSU would have over Kentucky and has been since always. Every other aspect of the two programs is miles apart in favor of Kentucky, and that isn't something new with McMahon. If playing close to home isn't the most important thing for him, that advantage becomes virtually nothing. I just find it weird that when we sign a kid from out of state in football, I don't see posts saying "can't believe he didn't sign with ______________(insert in state school that is mid-tier at best), their coach must be a buffoon" In reality, it should surprise people more if we did sign a player over Kentucky, not the other way around.
We have so many fans that think this program is more than what it actually is. Regardless of how much McMahon sucks as a coach, some of you do not live in reality.

He was at Tulane you moron and again, what good is money going to do. Your narratives keep collapsing on themselves.

I'd say with a certain degree of belief that if LSU offered 10-15% more in NIL than Kentucky, he still would have chosen UK

How are you not understanding? I state facts on here all the time. Clearly I was not stating a fact, but an opinion.

But we’re gonna get all the recruits because “muh money”

I do not feel McMahon is the guy to lead LSU to any sustained success
I wish he would not have been hired.
I think he is a failure and is probably a decent person, just not a good basketball coach.
On and on.
But the McThis and McThat is so 8 year old girl stuff to be posting.
Yep, I'm a boomer.
You can DV all you want and it will not bother me in the least.

It is rarely solely about the money
At the moment, thats all LSU has to offer and our AD told us that was the issue. Either McHallman can use the money he is given to sign an NCAA tournament level roster or he can't. The reasons as to why a player would choose another school over LSU are irrelevant at this point. Its put up or get fired time for CMM. We are past the point of excuses. He either proves he can do the job or we let someone else try.

Wade offered him a $100,000 to go to McNeese. Check your sources. Mine is the basketball Coach at LCA

Do you think it would be weird if we pulled a transfer from Louisville away from Kentucky in football? Do you think that would be a knock against Stoops? Because that is basically the difference in the two programs in basketball.
I'm not even defending McMahon, but crying about a players picking Kentucky over LSU is hilarious.
That shite doesn't matter anymore. You're think we are talking about college sports 2019 pre. Now it's only about money.

very possible. you have no way to know what went in to his decision.

It's about both and Kentucky has a lot of everything. We have none of it in comparison

Our coach just needs more money.

players say that and then go where the money is, most of the time.
occasionally a longtime pro will pass up cash for a situation. rarely. college kids don't already have millions so they need to get paid
any sec school is a pathway to the NBA if you get playing time.

I want to think this is the primary reason they made a big deal about upping the Nil.
