Any truth to the report that he's already named F.W. de Klerk as his OC?

His winning percentage is amazing, I just need him to stumble on the trail & fail to acclimate to the SEC.

He is the best hire they could’ve made outside of Kirby imo

Doesn't matter to me who they hire. It ain't Saban on that sideline. Bama will continue to be a good team in the SEC and will continue to compete for Championships just like we will but they won't be the dominant Saban Bama of old.

Same thing was said about Nick Saban and Urban Meyer. They both won national championships in the south. Don't worry about his recruiting, it will be okay.

Loved this hire from them. Dude is has been a West guy his whole career and has only been at the big stage for 2 years and hasn't recruited worth a flip. At least Kelly finished with top 12 classes (3 straight top 10 classes his last 3 years there), at ND.

He caught lightning in a bottle at Washington, and won't have that at Bama. They'll be pretty damn good offensively once Milroe is gone, but that defense is about to drop, especially those recruits.

It's hilarious than many people here have completely forgotten about recruiting.

This is it. He's a good coach and I'm sure he'll do fine in recruiting but he's not a living legend. He's not a damn American icon walking into these kids' homes.

Good hire and it will be a great hire if he can acclimate to the south and relate to southern players and their families. But he aint no damn Nick Saban. And even Saban was finding it more difficult with NIL.

way better. Although I knew neither Sark nor Lanning would go there considering they have better options, those guys going there intimidated me WAAAAAAAY more than anybody else they could've gotten.
