Justin Fields transferring?

If he transfers he will have to sit out a full year

Our last UGA transfer (indirect) worked out pretty well.

he went the Juco route though.

He could go FCS next year as his year to sit out, then come back the following year

He can transfer to any school he wants and can’t be blocked. He would however have to sit out a year but he can NOT be blocked from any school. This is from the NCAA page.......

Currently, NCAA rules require athletes who have not graduated to sit out a season after they transfer to a new school. ... Starting Oct. 15, athletes will no longer have to ask for permission to transfer from their current schools and schools cannot block transfers or dictate where they go.Oct 5, 2018

The new rules state the players can put their names in the transfer database without having to get permission from their coaches to be in contact with other schools.

That said he still would have to sit out a year if he transfers

I agree he has to sit out a year but he can’t be blocked where he wants to go
