Rumors are that Justin Fields is considering to transfer from Georgia. Could LSU be a landing spot? He will have to sit out a year, so it’d be perfect for when Burrow leaves.

I agree most likely, but LSU pretty much finished 2nd in his initial recruiting.

Our last UGA transfer (indirect) worked out pretty well.

Kirby is going to block him from coming here. Fields isn't going to graduate anytime soon either.

I thought with the new rules as long as he sat his year you could not block where he they transfer anymore

You are correct. If he sits out a year he can’t be blocked from any school

You can go anywhere if you sit out a season, no??

But yeah, I doubt he wants to transfer and completely sit out.

I thought that transfer rule applied to only those who have graduated from their current school?

He could go FCS next year as his year to sit out, then come back the following year

He can transfer to any school he wants and can’t be blocked. He would however have to sit out a year but he can NOT be blocked from any school. This is from the NCAA page.......

Currently, NCAA rules require athletes who have not graduated to sit out a season after they transfer to a new school. ... Starting Oct. 15, athletes will no longer have to ask for permission to transfer from their current schools and schools cannot block transfers or dictate where they go.Oct 5, 2018

You’re thinking about juco. FCS to FBS transfers have to sit unless they are graduate transfers.

The new rules state the players can put their names in the transfer database without having to get permission from their coaches to be in contact with other schools.

That said he still would have to sit out a year if he transfers

Georgia had Eason, Fromm and Fields. That’s an insane haul.
