why did the LHSAA cancel the rest of AHS's home games? Doesn't seem like AHS deserves that. What did their fans do?

It seemed to take a little while for security to get there. That "fight" went on for far too long. Also, no visitors side of the stadium. The opposing bench has a sugar cane field right behind it. Opponents have to exit the stadium along side the home fans without much separation.

Carroll is 100000% at fault, but you have to look at it from the LHSAA perspective when asking about why Assumption wont host home games for the remainder of the season. The LHSAA evidently feels that they need to reevaluate their security efforts/gameday procedures.

Assumption is not appealing so evidently they also feel like there are some things that they can clean up on their end.

Sucks for the kids and coaches as they are not at fault.

Poor parenting is the root of this.

From what I read they didn’t cancel their games at all. Just moved their home games to the visitor's stadiums.

Someone in another thread alluded to them not having bleachers on the visitor's side of their stadium but I can't confirm that.

It seems to me that the school's biggest mistake overall was scheduling Carrol in the first place.

Just checked Google Earth and it looks like Assumption only has a nice grandstand on one side of the field and nothing on the visitors side. Did not know that, it looks fairly new.

Back in the 70's when we played baseball there (they were in the River Parish/Lafourche district then) their fans threw bottles at our bus when we were leaving.

Parkview going up to Monroe and beating Carroll in the 2003 quarters was something to see. Segregation was back for three hours.

What idiot was in charge of building a football stadium with no visiting team stands?

One of those students is Keoshay Allen, a Carroll High School football player. Allen says he was devastated after he heard the news that he and his team will no longer play for the rest of the season.

“I just broke down crying,“ Allen said. ”I didn’t want to talk to nobody. I just sat in my room, quiet. I just broke down because I couldn’t believe on my brother’s senior year, I was supposed to play with him. It was stripped away in seconds. I thought I was going to finally play with him before it’s all over. Over one stupid decision, it was all stripped away."

Nothing was “stripped away” from you. Your team threw your own season away based on your team’s actions. Pat your chest, take responsibility, and learn from it. I doubt that happens based on the adults who are leading these children
