Just rewatched Texas game. Closer than it should’ve been. Good riddance Aranda.

Wow a defense that was replacing white and greedy. Queen hadn’t reached his potential and chaisson was only his 2nd game back from a torn ACL

How did aranda do in the sec championship game and national championship game.

Incorrect conduct. The defense was a shell of what it became at that time of the season.

Yeah not what I was thinking when I watched it yesterday. What I saw was a great game that we won with a defense that had a lot to work on and did throughout the season.
You can thank Aranda for keeping it together while guys worked through injuries bending but never breaking and being flat out awesome the last 4 games of the season including 3 against top 4 opponents.

Defense by the playoffs was the best in the nation. Thats really all that matters

And what about against the top two offenses in college football in the playoffs when it mattered most?

What about holding Lawrenve to 0 tds passing and something silly like 1 of 13 or some shite on 3rd down conversion.

fricking idiot.

Show me any other defense that did that to Clemson. even their star rb didn't break 100.

Bo is my all time favorite defensive coordinator, but Aranda was outstanding. Our defensive was totally hobbled with nagging injuries at the beginning of the season. Anyone else that rewatches the Texas game should watch how twice Fulton completely rolled his ankle, sat out for a play or two, and returned to keep on playing. Sad thing about Bo is, we’ll just have him for a couple of years before he is offered another head coaching job.

It's amazing how you, consistently, have some of the worst takes ever on The Rant.

Just really think the defense had adjustment period with the new fast pace offense(coaches and players). LSU has never had that type of offense. Think the offense was actually scoring faster than they thought. It had a lot to do with having huge leads with a lot of game left. if Aranda we’re coming back it would’ve been like at the end of the year. And I think Bo is going to do a great job too. If we are being technical LSU style has always been attacking.

I do think it was the best defense in the playoffs. That is huge.

I wish it had been better during the season, but I think injuries played a part along with some players learning to do their jobs.

I think LSU is going to benefit from a switch back to a 4-3 attacking defense

One of the ESPN, or SECN (basically ESPN JV) guys who actually calls the games had a great story about how the defense did not play the way Dave thought they would, and starting after the Vandy game, in the middle of the season, he had to completely switch up the identity of the defense.

While he wasn't perfect, I thought Dave did a hell of a job this past year, and his team largely got better as the season went on. However, they were definitely prone to losing focus.
