For a 6'5 250 lb. 18-year old to move like this. Best of luck to SEC defenses trying to stop this absolute freak. Generational talent will wreak havoc. Gilbert's gonna eat.

Good stuff from Derek Stingley Sr. on when Stingley Jr. tried to cover Gilbert in practice:
quote:

My goodness. Oh my God. He's a matchup problem. I don't care who's guarding him. Derek had to guard him on one route, and he just ran through Derek like Derek wasn't even there. And I was like good Lord.

That dude will be covered by LBs and Safety’s in this offense. Good luck........

If we can get to the red zone, good luck stopping this offense. So many matchup nightmares.

There is not a single position on defense that can cover him. He'll outrun linebackers or a safety that comes down into the box, just overpower any corner that even considers covering him and have a safety playing coverage looking for his jock.

Give them a healthy helping of some Curry on the side running down their throat, along with the MANY weapons at wide receiver and they'll be tapping out by halftime

There's SEC defenders waking up in a cold sweat already from nightmares of facing this offense after seeing what it did last year

He might be the next Megatron or he might be the next ( as some called him the greatest recruit ever) Russel Shepard. He could also be a “look like Tarzan play like Jane” guy. He’s a kid, never know.

Some legit there, but I'm on the hype here.

BTW, Russell Shepard.

I mean some players are so obviously gifted ,that you can be 99% sure they will be at least ,a good contributor to the team and in this case offense.

Hes like stingley,he will start and play well because, everyone knew stingley would be good ,this guy was the national player of the year as a tight end, first tight end ever to win that award, I know that's just high school, but damn that award is impressive because it's only given to one guy and it's a tight end

Nah, he’s an absolute stud. Watch the tape.

The only question is if they use him right.

frick man, this is the guy I'm excited to see just like stingly last year. Something so exciting to have a generation talent and we are so good at getting them.
