reasonable response. the usual suspects will be here to call you poor, LSU doesn't need your money, they won't miss you etc.

I made that decision 18 months ago the way they handled the past coaching searches. I also gave up season tickets because they were destroying tail gating and made it so hard for us who have tail gated for years to continue our tradition!

Ditto... I was in the process of establishing a scholarship fund, with the process underway... that has come to a screeching halt now!!!

Is the email being sent only to alumni? I am not an alumnus but I am on LSU’s email list for other reasons. I would like to send a similar response.

This was sent from the LSU Foundation.

The email is annualgiving@lsufoundation.org if you'd like to send one, but I have a feeling we're going to be seeing lots of this new campaign in the coming months.

I hope they get hundreds of these emails

I can guarantee you they have received at least two as of 15 seconds ago.

Sadly, these responses will likely fall on deaf ears. The LSU Foundation staff certainly know what they're up against, but are powerless to make them known to the people who matter.

Now, if a big name, influential donor were to write a scathing op-ed about "Why I won't give a dime back to LSU's capital campaign, and you shouldn't either" and list the reasons why people will be pissing their money away on ineffective leadership, misappropriated funds, and an administration marred by scandal and incompetence, then we might see something happen.

That's actually a really well written, well thought out letter. There are none of the typical obscenities, typo's, grammatical errors, angry-illiterate drunk phrases, etc. This is the kind of letter they should take seriously and realize there is a problem if more and more like this show up.

I agree. Getting a big money donor to talk directly to the people would be instrumental. My hope is that maybe our individual whispers can together make a roar loud enough to get that ball rolling.

I hate it. I love LSU. I want to support it, but I refuse at this time.

Bravo. Perfectly written response.

If there's a lot more like you then I can't see Joe Alleva surviving this. But that's actually my concern. My concern is that Joe will be the fall guy and FKing will keep his job. He'll just install another one like Joe and the shitshow will continue.

It's vitally important that if they axe Joe to quell the financial rebellion that all of y'all hold out still until the FKing domino falls as well. You have to cut the head off the snake. Joe is just a symptom of a disease. The disease is FKing.

I'm not worried about the BOS because it's made up of multiple members with competing interests. FKing is God at LSU. He wields the most power. The BOS power is dispersed among many members.

If Joe is fired and King retained, nothing changes. If King is fired then the Joe problem will take care of itself when the new boss comes in.

Why would they launch the campaign now? What would it hurt to push back the launch of the campaign to a more appropriate time???

Why are you complaining about it? I'm glad they did this. The timing is perfect for us as it highlights their incompetence which only hastens their demise.

Same with Joe's recent comments after the tournament game win. Perfect timing Joe. Perfect timing to highlight what a fricking moron he is and only adds fuel to the 'fire Joe campaign'.

This is no different than the arguments I have with people on here all the time about hurting LSU in the short-term in order to realize long-term gains. People will tell you you're not a fan if you're negative at all about LSU. I disagree. I think you're a savvy fan. You should complain when things are bad and praise when things are good. Short-term pain for long-term gain. Otherwise you just wallow in mediocrity.

A little over 20 years ago, I was writing the same things to LSU...not through email (it was still new, lol,). But when I'd get their "donate to your alma mater" collateral in the mail, I'd send the donation envelopes back with a short note inside saying, "You won't get a cent of my hard earned money as long as Joe Dean is in charge of the athletic department."

The more things change, the more they stay the same.

If Richard Lipsey and other top TAF members alone cant get change enacted, it will take a collective effort from the fans. We need to be as united as possible with this.

I'm not complaining. I was just trying to understand why they would do such a thing. I agree that it is perfect timing for us to show our disdain. I just can't fathom how out of touch the administration is.
