When Napier takes the reins , Nuss will be AOK .
First extended playing time . It is OK . He needs help from Peetz ( or is it Putz ? ).

Peetz is definitely not the answer and will be replaced. We all agree. But O has final say on calls. He admitted that on one of his weekly radio shows.

Should have started Nuss sooner . Max is overthrowing everybody . Does Boutte get injured if he doesn’t have to leap for a Maxie overthrow ??!

Much too early to make that decision. The offense has to be structured around the talents of the qb leading the team. LSU has one offense regardless of what QB is playing for LSU. Nuss needed to be able to run the ball on critical 3rd downs, by pulling the ball from Price after the de crashes down inside. It was setup perfectly, but our stupid staff never could see it apparently. Nuss ran the ball by design ZERO times. No good team in college football has a qb that runs zero times NONE. Joe Burrow would not succeed with the offense designed and called by Peetz and whoever else. This offense is worse than anything Miles had, and that is really saying something. Nuss never had a chance with that offense. They used him just like they would use Finley as if he also was a statue. So so awful, I can't believe these guys actually make a living coaching football.

Freshman seeing some his first-ever playing time against an SEC defense and already you can tell he isn't the answer

Not all on Peetz. Anybody noticed every time qb threw an in complete pass… he’d look to sidelines with lip service referring to incomplete pass wasn’t his fault…. When in fact he didn’t do his reads… there was an open receiver. Every time.

I like how some say Nuss ain't the answer after him having one real game of experience. Man, Johnson has shown in many games he's not the answer. Nuss has a stronger arm, better pocket awareness, throws on the run better, and much faster decision maker....all improvements over Johnson. So they are at best/worst equal...let that sink in.

Had Nuss played more meaningful snaps, nobody knows how improved he'd be at this point. Experience can only be gained by real actual playing time. MJ is not a playmaker, eats too many sacks, and is extremely slow going through his progressions. His TD/Int ratio is good because he only throws if his first option is wide open. That's good for stats but won't win many games. Hence his stats look good but the teams record is shitty. With MJ, we'll never beat teams that has close to as much talent as us.

*two backup guards on skates and left tackle going down. Nobody is going to be the answer behind this line. Had some success rolling him out but would abandon it after it worked.

it's peetz at this point, not the qb

Peetz will go on to a good career, because he’s a good coach. Lucky for you no one will remember your stupid posts.

Nuss needs more than 1 game.
I think it’s safe to say Max is tapped out though.
Want to give both of them another shot with a new staff however. Even Burrow was not Superman in 2018.

The fact that we needed to play a true freshman qb proves Max isn't the answer either.

Tough to say that. His throws were REALLY off in the first two series and getting worse. Should have started Nuss over him and likely would have had another TD.

We don't know if Max is 100% healthy. He has taken some big hits the last few games.

Peetz is just not capable of creating a situation for Nuss to be successful in.

Max should’ve gotten couple series in 2nd half
That would have made Daddy Nuss upset and prompted another phone call.

In what world does a phone call from the QB's father actual prompt a change in playing time?

Max aint all that, but would have protected the ball in a critical situation.
