Great post.

These kids do deserve better. But, nothing will change right now.
Let's support the team and specifically the 20+ SR's who will play their last game in Tiger Stadium.

As crushed as the fans are, how bad do you think these kids are crushed right now.

Yardbird, sticky this bitch!

My heart hurts for these young men. They work their ASSES off all year and when something like this happens, it kills them.

They need to look to one another as well as the majority of our fanbase and realize they are loved and supported.

Rally around JJ and comeout on all cylinders this Saturday and finish strong in Dallas......next year will be SPECIAL DAMN IT!

I really believe this.

LSU has several key parts coming back next year.

A couple of years ago someone rallied a "March for Miles" and pulled it off.

NOW it is time for a some type of march or rally for the players. We all love our Tigers...it's the coaches we are pissed at and are done with. BUT we have to find a way to rally the players. I am too far away to do anything but would if I was local.

I agree with your post, well almost all of it.

The coaches have a big task in front of them this week. they have to get these young men ready for a tough arkansas team.

they can't do it by themselves.

Then why the frick do we pay these jokers exorbitant sums of money? So they can screw up calls on gameday. Motivating the team after a tough loss IS PART OF THEIR JOB DESCRITION.

Thank you for writing this post. I am not sure of its impact, but this is how I felt as soon as the game was over.

I do not think most message board posters know how hard it is to win a football game in college football (I played I-AA), much less the SEC.

Ole Miss is a very solid, if not very good team at most positions. The LSU Tigers did not play a great game Saturday, but when they had to make plays they made enough to give a chance at victory. Number 2, I understand your brother, made more than his share.

None of us are coaches on the team, fellow posters. My guess is that they know they messed up and understand the degree of the screw up better than we can.

If they do not correct the errors, and make the necessary and perhaps painful changes to do so, then they won't be there. Starting at the top. That is how the copetitive world works. They know this.

The players are student athletes. Most of them will not play NFL ball. Most of them are athletically gifted 18-22 year old young men. They should never be booed. We all should thank them for the joy they bring in our lives as people who love Louisiana and LSU.

Unfortunately, the coaches, beginning with the second 2 point conversion play call, had a terrible final couple minutes.

The players made near impossible plays to keep the team in the game long after it should have been over.

I think your words are good dmitch. I hope the Tiger fans act accordingly.

true and i see where you are coming from, but having played ball, i can tell you. after a tough loss a coach can do his best, but sometimes its not what you want or need to hear.

the coaching staff will do their part to get them ready, i truly believe that. but sometimes its the extra,"we are behind you guys' thats makes you want to run through a wall, JMO though

If you think about booing anybody or anything on Saturday ... please don't. No matter the intent, it will fall at least in part on the players who are trying as hard as they can with immense pressure on them. You can always call your talk radio show and complain on the Rant later, but providing a positive, supportive environment for the Arkansas game - senior day - would be something the fans could do that will actually help.

Most of us are in awe of the team for the way they came back under very difficult circumstances. Only a talented team could do that. At this point it's all about THIS Saturday. Have a great Thanksgiving Tigers, and know that your efforts will always be recognized and appreciated. Hope y'all end the season on a high, happy note with a little post-Thanksgiving Hog feast.

Good post Dmitch, I was excited to see RR get his first touchdown and the way he handle the celebration spoke of his classiness. Your family should be very proud of this. As far as the upcoming game, if you are a true fan, you show up and cheer these guys on to victory. They have worked hard all year and do not let a "bad" game change your support for the players. This game will be the last game for some players in Tiger Stadium and we need to send them off the way they should be with a loud supportive crowd.
