The Swilling brothers were not coming to LSU, can't blame that on Juluke

That wasn't the question.

ETA: We didn't throw out a ton of offers in NOLA this past year. Was it because it was a down year in NOLA or were we not finding and properly evaluating enough guys down there?

Well you can't consider it a "miss" if they weren't coming in the first place.

Juluke and Craig have only been at LSU not quite a year. They were hired by Les Miles on Feb 17, 2016.

One reason they might be out is that Coach O wants to bring in his own guys. This happens all the time with new coaches. He was smart not to make the move right after the bowl game and instead waiting until after NSD.

The second reason might be Coach Canada was promised by Coach O that he would open up a couple of slots so Coach Canada could bring in some of his guys to implement his offensive system.

Finally, since a change was in the making, the best time to do it is right now and without any drama.

I have no doubt Coach O knows who he is bringing in. I sure am interested to see who that will be.

The reason Akers isn't here is the reason JJ is gone.

After losing Moses Coach O told JJ to do what ever it takes to get Akers. After we lost Akers JJ was told he would not be retained. This was done about a month ago when I reported we were losing at least one and probably two offensive coaches.

We'll see in the next couple of days if Craig was actually fired or if O is doing him a solid by allowing him to take the Oregon job w/o buyouts, etc.

Doesn't matter. He needed to go. Orgeron isn't fricking around. Love it

They were offered and went elsewhere. What would you call that?

Oh and a lil icing on the cake for u, the reason why Akers is not here is bc EO wouldn't give Akers a solid answer on if Jab would be back this year.

And...

Wow that's interesting. Was Craig headed somewhere else or just no longer wanted?

If he had another job, wouldn't he have just left. Press release says he was fired.

Dude....
They were a packaged deal and were going to GA tech...

You can't persuade a kid to go somewhere he was never going to go.

Craig was also the "recruiting coordinator". If some of you knew how completely unorganized recruiting was this year, and at times a complete shite show, you would be way more impressed with the class we just signed.

Lol, he became the recruiting coordinator after Les was fired. So O put him in that position.

And missed out on him since we didn't get him.

Oh well, we got two pretty great QBs instead.

Hard to believe a coach would be relieved of his duties over one or two recruits' decisions. Has to be something else/more.

Guice is not going to like Juluke being gone. That's his guy. He talks about what a great coach he is after every game.
