I appreciate the downvotes on this stupidity. Block people are truly a persecuted group. Excuse the typo...

What a horribly written article. It states thats theres an 8% difference between blacks and other races. Not to mention the fact that the study was on done between 1996 and 2012. I bet we had no more than 20 unexpected football losses during that time. Not even enough to form a large sample size for empirical evidence

Let me guess...she’s woke and apologetic for her whiteness?

Yes. She’s white.

This is such garbage.

Judges are probably harsher on everyone after a loss.

What are the average crimes that white and black juveniles are charged with? Isn't it possible that black juveniles commit worse crimes than white juveniles?

Without publishing the difference between the sentences of blacks and whites without an unexpected loss, then the study is complete shite. How do we know that blacks don't receive a sentence 8% longer on average and that an LSU loss has no bearing on it?

Do they receive a sentence 8% longer based on like crimes or just in general? An assault certainly deserves a longer sentence than vandalizing an abandoned building. Are they factoring in a paid lawyer vs a public defender? That would be an economic issue and not a racial one. 69% of blacks graduate high school while 86% of whites do. So, maybe it's cultural instead of racial.

Even if the study is true, it does not mean that blacks are getting worse sentences simply because they have darker skin.

The report, a draft of which was circulated in 2016 by the National Bureau of Economic Research, offers damning evidence that black juveniles bear the brunt of unexpected losses, especially if the judge graduated from LSU.

Not to people that are able to think critically.

What would motivate someone to fund a study like this in the first place?
