If LSU beats clemson, 10-2. If they lose, 8-4. His prediction isn't that off base. There is nothing about Brian Kelly @ LSU that screams improvement.

I used to watch Pate. His schtick when he was up and coming was to make a lot of vague prognostications with the usual caveats.

Then when a few would inevitably ring true (law of large numbers I suppose) he’d replay the tape of him “calling it” as though he was some kind of CFB Nostradamus and give himself a generous pat on the back for a job well done.

Haven’t watched him in a while.

you just didn’t mind it because it was favorable to LSU.

Even that was sort of recent (like 2019) if memory serves.

LSU has a tough schedule

Florida has an absolutely brutal schedule. They ain't going 9-3.

I'm sure in his writeups he leaves himself an out with LSU, saying they have the potential to go far, blah blah blah....

I don't know about SC and Texas, but I know against Georgia they lost 34-3. They also lost the other two SEC games, don't remember the scores and ain't looking...but you can bet you combine those three games and it is nowhere near is yearly total averages.

With this roster, 8-4 would be a cataclysmic failure.

That’s just not the case.

It would indicate, most likely, that the concern along the OL were legitimate.

Only people who don’t recognize the concerns there would call 8-4 cataclysmic. We simply have no idea what we are getting from the OL.

They are all potential L's if you don't bring your A game in the SEC.

Preseason predictions are more useless than ever before when you have teams spending $20 million in an offseason building rosters. No one knows shite about LSU until Saturday.

Dude posted this for click-bait and people bit.

People acting like this team is going to walk into the playoff.

If Clemson goes sideways, we could be looking at hoping to avoid 3 losses by October 1.

Agreed. If that unit is good, and we can run the ball, we are a playoff contender. If they struggle, we could easily be 8-4.
