The league started a precedent fining LSU $250k for throwing those light up bands on the field so the league should quadruple it and penalize the hillbillies for each spec of trash they were told by their HC to throw come November

LSU wasn't the first to throw stuff on the field...nor the first to be fined. But the league's officials created a very bad precedent in the 2024 Texas v. Georgia game that REWARDED the fans for throwing stuff on to the field. Texas had a bad call go against them. The students responded by throwing beer bottles all over the field. Then, during the delay to clean up the trash the officials "after discussion", NOT video replay, changed the call in Texas's favor.

Fined, suspended for the game and unsportsmanlike penalty assessed at opening KO

The only thing weirder than still holding a grudge about a coach who had no real success leaving a decade plus ago is the current coach leading the charge whining about it.

What the hell is Heupel doing? A much better response that puts him in a much better light is "I don't think too many people care about that. Tennesee is in a much stronger position now than back then."

Maybe his wife or kids will get hit in the eye socket with one of the golf balls then he would learn his lesson

Would it be funny if he ‘joked’ about fans stocking up on tear gas? What about stocking up at the gun store? Would that be funny too?

I think he was just definitely being sarcastic, but language like that could easily spark an orange riot. At least I want to believe he was just having fun.

Oh yeah, it'll be a fricking riot when Sam Leavitt gets beaned in the head going in at halftime and has to miss the second half of the game because some hillbilly or drunk college kid takes Heupel at his word.

What an irresponsible statement for a head coach to make. Zero class.
