That locker room was really bad. Even 2000 was bad. Definitely people in there that were playing to help Rohan get the job

without a doubt i agree.... but..... attitude reflects leadership.... maybe he should have been a better leader...

i knew multiple guys in the locker room, all of them said the same thing... that they didnt play for booty because they all hated Evangel...

Guy was part of the locker room problem. Teammates did not like either of the Booty's.

And Josh was the worst All-SEC QB of all time. He was the opposite of clutch. UAB and Bama games come to mind. Josh going for personal glory and trying to run it in with no timeouts in Tuscaloosa instead of throwing to an open TE will always piss me off.

frick that guy and his trashy family.

Whatever he did in January 97 definitely started the clock, you can see on the rosters he was listed as a sophomore in 99 and a junior in 2000 (Saban & Jimbo’s first year).

I suppose he could have also attended class early in that semester, before having to report to camp with the Marlins. If you recall that was also the same semester Abram enrolled.

ah gotcha, well whatever the case, his excuse is ridiculous nonetheless. Rohan had no problem flourishing and was a redshirt junior Saban's first year at LSU. Booty always seems to want to blame everyone but himself for his problems.

I wonder whose fault this was

Kind of.

Terrible family and Josh did more harm to LSU than good. Locker room couldn't stand Josh. He was, and still is, a huge prick. Rohan should've been playing that entire time.

ETA:

And he wasn't even good. I still can't believe he got All-SEC. Must've been the worst year for QBs in SEC modern history.

I mean shite, he was benched twice that year. Here are his stats:

2,121 yards, 50% compl, 17 TDs, 15 INTs.

For comparison:

Danny Etling, who is as average as average can be:

2,435 yards, 60% compl, 16 TDs, 2 INTs

In that same year:

Rex Grossman:
1,866 yrads, 61.8%, 21 TDs, 7 INTs

Jared Lorenzen:
3,867 yards, 57.4%, 19 TDs, 21 INTs

2000 was a down year for SEC QBs.

Booty did all he could under that crap staff in 1999.

Booty was ALL SEC under Jimbo in 2000.

I haven’t talked to him since the seccg in 2011.

Never came across as salty at all. Huge LSU supporter

The UAB pick.....need I say more. Frick him and the horse he rode in on.

True story.....he and Abram were playing on a softball team here in shreveport....I think for their church.....many years ago. My team drew them for the first game of the season. Needless to say, our team was slightly intimidated. They had some bruisers on that team...but that's why they play the game. Those two guys struggled all game with the high arcing pitches and we ended up smoking them like a cheap cigar.
To say they weren't very gracious after the game would be a huge understatement.

Booty also set the LSU INT record with 19. In his All-SEC season he threw 17 TDs and 15 INTs. The SEC QBs in 2000 were laughably bad. Ben Leard was 1st team All-SEC on the AP team. he threw for 2100 yards 12 TDs and 10 INTs. Booty threw for 2100 yards as well. That's not even as good as Jordan Jefferson's 2009 season for comparison.

Ahhh yes. Forget the eye test and actual abilities and what coaches allowed them to do as far as play calls. But no Let’s just look at stats. Yeah man etling was great and
Josh sucked.

He wasn't good. He even lost his fricking job that year. And I literally just said Etling was as average as average can be, yet still had exponentially better statistics than Josh.

Josh was not a good quarterback at LSU. Nearly every QB we've had since then has been better, and that is saying something considering the shite lineup we've had.

He's not the worst QB ever, no, but good? Nah. He had a lot of arm talent but was an entitled prick and a head case.

Brett Favre threw tons of picks also. Did he suck?

Oh but hey joe blow threw check downs all game and had no ints

You can always tell the morons here who actually watch games and the ones who can only recite stats. Laughable.

Are you saying Rohan had more arm talent and was allowed to run better plays? Because Rohan, that same year, in only 4 games, had FAR better statistics with the same coaches in the same offense.

That year, in 4 games while Josh was benched or hurt, he threw more yds/game, ypa, 15% higher completion %, and 60 pts higher passer rating with 7 TDs and 1 INT.
