But, Lee gives you vertical passing & a threat with his arm far more than JJ does, & that opens the run game that Miles favors.
Neither QB has made defenses not stack the box.
DC's obviously try to shut down our running game first. I have not seen them show any fear or respect for EITHER QB's passing ability. You can say JL opens up the running game but it just isn't true.

We definitely will only rarely get vertical against a defense with JJ. Yes, I do know that against UNC, TAMU, & the first play against WKU, he's gone deep with success. Three games in the past 23 isn't a trend, folks.
You might be surprised to find for all 2011 completions, JJ's percentage of deep throws (25+yds), almost doubles Lee's (25% vs 12.6%).
I think Lee has a bit better short game, if anything.

I think the game sort of dictated this. LSU was completely flat as a team and let WKU hang around early on. But JJ was actually playing very good. So how does Miles pull JJ when he was the only one not looking lackluster out there? Tough spot for the coach on that one IMO. Truth is, none of us know what was discussed before the game in terms of QB rotation. Did the game just dictate it? Or was it determined Lee would sit 3 quarters? And who really cares??? I trust Miles and this staff. Period.
perhaps you are right.

A better question is, why do you make yourself so miserable
Miserable? I'm the happiest guy around here. I don't wring my hands and have panic attacks over who is the starting QB. I don't have major angst over why Les did or didn't do something. LSU is 10-0 and that makes me happy.

getting all butt hurt every time someone questions a Miles decision or motivation
Because I question the logic of the piss and moan crowd? I'm having fun shooting holes in the supposed reasoning of the doom and gloom crowd.

You do realize this is an open discussion board with free thinkers, not a kool aid drinking session, right?
Yes and no. In a lot of cases the word thinking just doesn't apply. I'm just trying to take the kool-aid out of the hands of the poor demented souls that have a fu cking cow when LSU doesn't do something that THEY want.
I do admit that I probably enjoy shooting down idiotic statements a little too much. I shouldn't pick on stupid people. It's just not kind of me.

And if we do, Jefferson will see the vast majority of the snaps.
However, that doesn't mean he should see the majority of the snaps against everyone else.

I'm inclined to accept the rumor. . .on the grounds that the playing time was really odd for Miles.
People can say what they want about favorites, but Les is exceedingly faithful to his players. If Lee couldn't get in until the 4th against a creampuff. . .then there is something else at work here.
I think Lee was tanking a class, professor ratted him out, CLM told him to straighten his shite out, Lee ditched, professor ratted him out again.
You don't want to frick up before playing a rent-a-win. . .with any coach in America.

So you don't think it's a good idea to give JJ more snaps against WKU in preparation that we might have to face Bama again?

Exactly. Id be more worried if there wasnt a rumor. Les is never going to come out and say these kind of things himself. Hes shown that time and time again.

I expect a Fla/AU/Tenn offensive gameplan.

I expect they will share snaps, but Lee will get the bulk of the snaps.
Unless he has an off night, then JJ will get more snaps.

I would propose that if you allow the discussion to go on, some good points usually surface. Might be better just to ignore the ones you don't like, it's quite a waste of time I've found to constantly try to shoot things down.

You might also be surprised that the Lee has thrown more than quintuple the number of times that JJ has. As I've stated before, when Lee comes in, we have coherence and efficiency, & as such, we can throw the ball to move the chains.
In most of JJ's situations, when we're throwing the ball, its because we have to be aggressive in terms of trying to score the ball, because we're simply not going to move it as well compared to when Lee is in the game.
Those stats are essentially meaningless. They won't let JJ throw the ball to move the team. They will & routinely do allow Lee to do so.

Neither is very serious. A 5th year skipping class? Shocking. How many classes can he even have? What do they consist of? Archery? Golf?
I would say it depends on why he missed class. If he missed itbecause. He was upset about the Bama game, then IMO you can not go back to him as the starter. That would be reflective of a very weak frame of mind... And one we can not have leading this team...no matter how much we think we need a polished passing attack. If that was where he was, then Lee is done mentally.
If he accidentally slept in and missed a few classes then I would agree.

what you been smoking ??? So soon you forgot the saftey , be careful, we may get JJ , and sometime in the near future we will look back and think "Oh what a year it could have been"
