Nice highlights of a game where LSU alum John Williams registers a triple double. You really see how talented and polished this guy was. He was so smooth he could glide his way to a triple double or score 30 points.

My 1st ever favorite athlete was Magic and I remember watching one of John Williams’ initial games at LSU. They were already mentioning comparisons to Magic.

Agreed that he was extremely talented with great size. He never quite lived up to potential and the last thing I recall was the ‘Hot Plate’ nickname.

I thought I was still on the Movie TV Board and thought that John Williams the composer had somehow composed music for an NBA game.

For us old farts…some very recognizable names in that game. Ledell Eackles outta Baton Rouge was a stud…and Jeff Malone outta Miss St was big time…and Darrel Walker outta Arkansas also.

The "grail theme" really is some underrated stuff. Haunting.

Only played two years with LSU and seems to get overlooked when people list all time greats at LSU. 6’8 about 240 when he was here and highly skilled.
