He absolutely has to change his mentality or it's a whole lot of the same.

Cole Smith needs to come in at 300 lbs + and be the starting Center. (Deculus needs to cross-train there too)

Cush still has 2 more years (though with a good enough season to move into the 1st round next season could be his last). But yes, we need Cole Smith to be hitting it hard in the S&C program along with the undersized center we signed in this class. Center does seem a positin of concern though just due to what do we do if Cushenbery were to go down with an injury.

Well, although Burrow attempted more passes/game than any QB in 10+ yrs at LSU, his passing TDs were also less than any in 10 yrs. So if he is indeed better than the G.O.A.T. Dwayne Haskins just think how bad our QB/WR development, OC, and Offense has to be to totally conceal that immense talent. Our AD & Chancellor PhkFing need to think outside the binder:

First and utmost, we have been plagued by the endless whining of Alter-boy Buckeye Joe from the Props for O Ministry of DisInformation headed by Dereck E. Ponamsky, Coleman & Assoc. From Trawling for Dollars to Trolling for Dollars:

Dereck and BenColeman (aka DownVote 1 & Downvote 2) sitting on threads, using alters, employing a Staff of paid Trolls to cheerfully encourage discussion of anything except O&E "who are in their 1st Year" and have the Sauce to transform a last place Passing Offense in the SEC NEXT YEAR. Dereck says,
quote:

"I give Aranda his game plan every week and the times he has deviated LSU has lost. He promised after the A&M game he will listen to me from now on. And before ya'll attack me for the A&M meltdown. Aranda and I have meetings and I explain stuff to him. The people in my office look out the window and laugh when he comes back 5 or 10 minutes later because he doesn't understand what I tell him. the term "professor" besides the way he talks, really does not apply. that's why he went to Santa Clara or wherever he went."

Burrow is an Urban Meyer "made QB", 4th Yr RS Junior. Haskins was in his 1st Yr and stepped in like a veteran 4th yr man like Burrow. With that experience we should not have had the worst Passing Offense in the last 4 years and be making excuses about Burrow being a newbie.

We should not have had to listen to how being last in the SEC was because we did not have enough Jugs machines and that Burrow has a better arm than rocket-armed Dwayne Haskins, Jr. who is now the all time OSU and Big 10 QB with 27 records, #1 QB in Draft after only 1 Year, and now holds 27 records....still, unbroken, count em 27 records, 27!!!!!.

Wow! Look at the rankings. ALA attempted fewer passes/game than LSU. They are ranked #2 and LSU is #110, tied with Rice with 13 passes. Burrow only had 12 because CEH threw one in OT vs TAMU. So we actually finished below Rice! One Below Rice..print the shirts.

If Burrow never transferred in desperation seeking PT, maybe we would have been able to force a change back to "Competing for Championships" rather than "In the Hunt, Exceeding Low Media Expectations." McMillan won 2 Texas State 6-AAA Championships, was never developed here, and transferred to Tulane to lead them to their first Bowl in 6 yrs, which they won.

O & E have walled themselves off from new ideas. Saban on the other hand rotates OCs & DCs just so he can keep getting new ideas and picking peoples brains. He holds Coaching Seminars for open exchange of ideas. He has a Process that emphasizes Player Development...the same Process Fisher uses, ya know, the one they developed together in 5 years at LSU along with MusChamp & Smart (4 SEC Coaches 'from LSU' who still talk tactics & stategy to each other).

LSU is just abysmally terrible at Offensive development especially at QB. We took the #1-#2 DTQB in 2014 and stuck him under center in the I formation with 2 TEs & a FB and tried to run through the middle of the line. That was after that same QB came into the MSU game with 3 min to play trailing by 3 TDs and proceeded to toss two TDs in 28 secs and throw a Hail Mary as time expired which would have won the game. He followed that up with 7 for 7 TDs in 2 qtrs using 3 WRs and running the option. Ding, Ding Epiphany Time! Yet, after all of that Miles & BFF Cameron-the-QB-Killer', fired 4x, lets Hilliard, Magee, La'El have a Team Meeting to revert to 'RB-by-Committee-3 & out', because La'El came back to boost his LT Draft stock. Any more Questions?

Against Clemson – and maybe the best defense in college football – Mond had career bests for attempts (40), completions (23) and yards (430), and had 3 touchdowns and no interceptions.

The most striking number of all: Mond’s average yards per attempt – the NFL’s No. 1 statistic for quarterbacks – was a whopping 10.8 vs. Clemson. Last year, it was 6.06.
There they were with wideout Kendrick Rogers, a mountain of a receiver with 4.4 speed, who, for some reason, had all of 11 catches for 99 yards last season. He had 7 for 120 yards and 2 touchdowns against Clemson.

That, everyone, is coaching – finding your best players and developing them, then putting them in position to have success and play with confidence.

Don't forget Dare Rosenthal. He should start at left tackle.

The offensive line will be better. Hell they had nowhere to go but up.

And yet your great coach had a worse record than our sucky coach. GTFOH. Jimbo is going to go 9-3 or worse for the next 3 or 4 years while Orgeron passes him right up and takes it to Bama one of these next 3 seasons.

A&M has managed one good class while LSU has stacked class after class. It's not easy to replace talent every year and A&M is a long way from doing so. LSU isn't that far from where it needs to be. Need to finish this class with DLman, OT, and CBs who are all great players and this will be one of the best classes LSU has had in a long time while covering every aspect of our roster.

It looks like 2020 will be similar. Keep focusing on the OT, DL, QB and LB positions and LSU will beat anyone at anytime real soon. I think the philosophy will change once we have the depth for that to happen. Os a much better coach then any of you idiots gave him credit for all this time. I can't take most of you serious anymore because you've been so wrong about him and his ability that my only conclusion is that you know nothing about football. Statistics are useless, unless it's the W/L column.

Coach O will get our team back where it once was and all the morons who have talked shite over the years will look dumber when he does it. We comin. GT

I do agree but only on that ONE series. Overall it's not the problem. The Oline is.

I would bet dollars to nickles, had we attempted to throw and been picked off or sacked you would be screaming about us not running.

Gonna depend on whether or not Orgeron changes his mentality on offense. Burrow will be capable of leading us to 11 & 1, which is definitely promise land in my book; but if O coaches like a pussycat late in the 4th like he did at Agricultural & Mechanical, we'll suffer 2 or 3 losses

The defense had shut aTm down for the second half. Coach O made what he thought was the safe decision. Put it in the hands of the strength of his team. Your post shows your ignorance.

No it is not. If they hadmconfidence in the Oline they could have thrown. They did not so they ran the ball. If the Oline was any good we would have gotten a first down running. Bottom line our defense gave up 3 20 yard plays in 39 secnds.

Our defense against Florida gave up an 80yard drive after we took the lead. They also allowe 2 3run ning play first downs when we needed the ball back.

Anyway. You guys are so,negative and you will, never stop. .

We have another very very solid recruiting year. And we had one last year. It is completely unreasonable to,expect Frohman and sophomore lineman to completely turn the team around. We are probably one more recruiting year to get back to parity with Bama on the line of scrimmage. We have to,have a better strength agility and quickness program for lineman. Clearly h Bama guys have better explosion than we do.

With a senior QB and a spring and summer with the receivers. This will,be a better year. We can win 11games with the schedule. More likely 10

A) Offense isn't changing

B) Offense isn't improving

C) Defense is losing too much to be as good next year

I feel like we have this thread every year right towards the bowl game/after about how we are a couple of changes away from being dramatically better only to never see it come to fruition (In terms of the offense)

I'm just going to continue to hope it eventually happens, hopefully it does next year

1. Entire offense coming back next year(now have chemistry with talent) 2. When had time to throw Burrow has elite accuracy 3. Another year with Aranda (defense will always be good with Aranda) 4. Ed O fixes problems ( every weakness we had last year was strength this year) 5. Easier schedule
