Joe will go thru the same thing as he did with college. And that is being in a different place the second time around. Once he gets out of the rookie contract, he will go elsewhere and revive his career. The proceeding shite show will toughen him just as the college years did, and he will be much better .

Rick Nuh...on ESPNU radio said yesterday that the guy Burrow has been all year, "Joe is the kind of guy who will have an attitude that he will change the culture of the Bengals, rather than being a guy who refused to play for them"

I agree Apex.
Especially being an Ohio team and the love that Ohio has for him. He would only be 2 hrs from his hometown. No way Joe refuses to play. He will change the culture and mindset of the players. Hopefully the staff at Cincy will be prepared.

They still call it Paul Brown Stadium because the family refuses to sell the naming rights even though the team suffers from lack of resources. I think it’s a closer call than most people think.

While I agree with the Bengals history, I could not disagree more about their future.

I believe that the OL is in place but 2-3 key pieces were hurt all year including Jonah Williams. They still need 1-2 pieces thru draft or FA. AJ Green will probably leave so they will need another WR. Mixon is about to put up Todd Gurley(pre-injury) like numbers.

Cincy's new coach had some Joe Brady moments last year. Their scheme is excellent, just had major OL issues right before the season started and then they played the rookie QB who will not be with the team next year. They are on the right track and Joe Burrow will become their Savior.

It is a perfect fit for Burrow and Act II will be similar to Act I.

Geaux Bengals!

It’s not that simple, the team has a 5th year option on 1st rounders and then they can franchise tag him a couple of times.

How’s it embarrassing? He’s very similar to Brees and has some familiarity with the Saints system.

Well, if this were E-harmony you might have a point.

Yup.

I see burrow and keep thinking of Archie Manning, who took a beating for years w the Saints. He deserved the glory his sons earned but Mecom consistently screwed him out of it.

Cinci is his home state. He won’t turn that down. But if there were a player who turn down a team it seems like him. He is a business man.

He means the elder Irsay. He was one of the worst owners in NFL and destroyed the Colts until Polian was hired.

John Elway was drafted by the then Baltimore Colts.

Highly doubtful he would pass on his Home State team. The best scenario is if a team like the Raiders who have a ton of picks and players to trade can offer the Bengals enough.

No. If he gets hurt and the Bengals continue to lose, people will quickly forget where he came from.

He would refuse ~32 million (including a 22 million dollar bonus) if he did. I'm sorry, but there's no way in hell anybody in their right mind would give that up.

Eli Manning did the same - won 2 super bowls

Manning was...well..part of the Manning family..

Elway had playing for the Yankees as leverage. He would have been a stud in the majors.

Saints just need to give up Kamara

Joe Burrow is worth a lot more than Kamara, and I'm all in favor for it. I would give Kamara, Michael Thomas plus 2 1st round pics for Burrow. It will take a deal like this to get him.

Y’all act like the Bengals didn’t win the toughest division in the AFC twice with Andy Dalton.

He almost chose transferring to the University of Cincinnati over LSU. I don't think Burrow is too concerned about being drafted by Cincinnati.

About 3 weeks ago Carson Palmer stated that he signed with the Bengals thinking that if he did well he could overcome the Bengal's organizationsl deficiencies. He then stated he was wrong at the time. For a qb to succeed, he needs to be with a good organizaion.
