I thought Tua declared for the draft.

He did. Dude left out a comma that would have made it easier to understand. He meant Tua and Herbert this year and Lawrence next year.

How’s it embarrassing? He’s very similar to Brees and has some familiarity with the Saints system.

Because the Saints don’t have the picks it would take to make this trade.

They would have to give up probably Kamara and/or Thomas and/or Armstead for Cincy to even consider it.

In what world does anyone think Joe would A. Run away from this type of challenge, and B. Basically give a middle finger to one of the teams in his state? Burrow is nothing but class, he should not refuse anything.

As recently as 2011-2015, the Bengals went to playoffs 5 years in a row. They are not as bad as the Browns.

There is no way he's pulling a chickenshit Elway or Manning move. The Bengals are the closest team to his childhood home that he's talked about non-stop throughout his sudden fame.

They’re not as bad off as most think. They drafted Jonah Williams last year and he didn’t play a down this season. Their center, who Joe played with at Ohio St, also missed time this season. They have a deep threat if he can stay healthy and they have a solid possession receiver in Boyd. They need to try and resign AJ Green and Eifert but they aren’t as bad off as some think.

Eli had Archie / Peyton support and money.

Elway had MLB as in option

I love Burrow. But, he is not “too good” for ANY NFL team. He will be drafted #1 and be successful. That is fantasy come true enough for anyone. We needn’t create some additional fantasy.

I think being from Ohio, he would love to try and bring a team into relevance. But even at that, if I was him I would be hoping that another team trades up to get me.

But the amount of fans he has in Ohio, he would be royalty. I hope they get a good staff together if they do get him. Maybe Miami would trade Rosen or Fitzpatrick to move up for 1st pick. But I don't think Miami is much better.

I hope he doesn't do what Eli did, youre a professional and play the cards you are dealt. Now if you want to do some stuff pre-draft to maybe influence teams to moving up or make a trade to Cincy for the 1st pick, then so be it....but to say I'm not playing for you is chicken S.

I don't think Joe is like that with Cincy, especially being an Ohio boy.

Based on your example, seems like he just needs to avoid San Diego

Yeah, 1

They also hired Bill Polian who had built the Bills teams that went to 4 straight Super Bowls and the Panthers who went to the NFCCG in their 2nd year

Even if you threw all three in, the fact that these guys aren’t on rookie deals (except Kamara - who will be soon), makes them way less valuable to Cincinnati.

Even all three aren’t going to move the needle for Cinci, especially with their cheap arse owner. You need to give up draft capital.

The last trade for the #1 overall cost two firsts, two seconds, and two thirds. A fourth and sixth got sent back. That was for Goff, who was a less clear #1 than Burrow and the first was #15, while the Saints are in the twenties. There’s the floor in negotiations there unless Burrow says he won’t play for them.

Irsay hires good people and is a good owner who was a shitty person. After the DWI though he actually cleaned things up.
