The kid is in it to win it. I didn't want to make snap judgments on him just because he's an Ohio State transfer but he looked really good last night. Looking forward to see him play the rest of the season

Well, no one... not a single person... on tRant is calling for the backup to start.

That's a first since what, 2003.

Helluva milestone there in of itself.

Dude made situational calls that resulted in first downs and yards that attacked the defense where it weakened itself.

Just that, I'm fricking giddy. Now just make sure E is on board and lets do this.

Very pleased with his progress so far. Hoping he keeps it up. He definitely strikes me as a leader and intelligent at the most important position. We’ve sorely missed that for years. The kid has moxie, he took hits on runs and passes at times and wasn’t afraid to do it again. I love that Brennan gets to learn under him for awhile too

I agree.
He is smart enough to know that they have to improve in some areas and I think he is aware of them.
We have a QB and another one that's learning right behind him.

"well, nobody actually told Meyers that."
["Start me or I'll transfer"]

Maybe not in those exact words, but that's the gist of it.

Joe agreed to stay through Spring practice as long as Meyer gave his decision within a week after the Spring game. Meyer stalled, so Joe said "thanks" and "see ya'".

BTW, Burrow COMPLETELY outplayed Haskins in the Spring game - but Meyer was worried that both Martell and Haskins would transfer if Burrow was named starter (sound familiar to the LSU QB situation? - it was). ALSO, Burrow had beaten out Haskind in 2017, but broke his hand about a week before the first game (some think he also beat out Barrett)

Spring game stats:

Burrow - 15-of-22 in the air (68.2%) for 238 yards with 2 TDs - 0 INTs

Haskins - 9-of-19 passing (47.3%) for 120 yards with 2 TDs - 0 INTs.

Martell - 5-of-16 (31.3%) for 28 yards with 0 TDs and 1 INT

Anyone who will tell urban Meyers either start me or i’m Out of here, I didn’t come here to sit on the bench for 4 years. I’ll go some where else and start. Then pick a power house like LSU and start go out and win the 1st college game he ever started against the # 8 team in the country has got a set of big arse balls.

there also is no stats on pocket presence and reading a defense going thru progressions and etling was weak at both but his stats that could be recorded were good which is a huge testament to what canada did with him
